  The writer makes a big mistake when he says that IR has not copied. We should send the link to IR's copied songs thread to him if possible. Also Deva IR pattugalai copy adikiraar enbadhu partly untrue. Gone are those days. Now IR himself is not doing many films. Deva's sources range from Phil Collins to Rod Stewart to Ofra Haza.
  
  Other than these minor points I tend to agree with the majority of what is written though mostly they are the writer's subjective opinions

  It is a good article, except the comparing part.
  
  Whatever written is the real fact, including IR's current market.
  
  But, I don't know why arrmp3 translated it. Probably, this is the most scathing ARR criticism ever made. May be, "vanja pugazhchi" endru think panneettaaro ? :-)

  By the way, I think Lincon is absolutely justified in thinking what he wants. I'm not commenting on anything he has said, 'cos its more than apparent that Kumudam did it to boost sales and visits to its site.
  
  Actually Kumudam does this quite often, the kind of grade 3 magazine it is. It used to rope in Subbudu to write deragatory and subjective opinions on how Unnikrishnan has killed carnatic music by singing mainstream film songs and even a ARR-IR commentary! This is Kumudam's oldest trick in thier (!) book!

  karthik S, will give his congrats, if someone makes 'personnel' comments on IR. That something not even 0% true. But kumudam when it talks about ARR's 'music', it becomes 3rd rate!!!. I accept its 3rd rate, But imagine which rate you rate accordingly.

  I meant 3rd rate not 'cos of the ARR criticism alone. Kumudam has a long history of such provocative articles, sometimes by unknown guys and sometimes by famous guys like Subbudu. As a pucca tamilian I've grown up with mags like Kalki. Vikatan etc.
  
  Vikatan used to be best seller in the weekly mags category but Kungumam and Kumudam stormed the scene with free gifts and such abrasive articles. Its this 'rickshawkaran-styled' provocative article which occasionally give kumudam the much needed visibility. Kalki and Vikatan dont need to do that 'cos they have a very decent past/history of journalism behind them.
  
  Incidentally, there is a famous example of this rickshawkaran-style reporting. This was way back in time, when Indira Gandhi was the PM. Thinathanthi, a forerunner in such stories, published a front page headline one fine morning...
  
  'Indira Gandhi jetty'udan parliamentu'kku vanthaar!'
  
  What it actually meant was the then finance minister was a guy by name VB Jetty. Now you can imagine how much that issue might have sold!
  
  So the condemning part was not 'cos of ARR alone!
