  Someone had posted that ARR's show in NY had More Tamil songs than Hindi. I counted the songs & there were 18 Hindi, 12 Tamil & 5-7 Hindi & Tamil Combo.

  Ramki: EXCELLENT OVERVIEW of the concert that I unfortunately missed!! But was that all the Thamilzh songs that were performed......it seems so few!!! Also,I thought i heard that Devan was also going to perform.....but i don't see his name in your list?? Could you please provide a FULL list of all the songs performed (if the list that you already posted was not the entire thing)...AND PLEASE MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE SHOW!!!! Even tho i'm right near torotno, i missed it!!!!

  Asking KSR for an autograph when there were many other skilled artistes is the worst thing that your friend could do. KSR has not earned the right to do a living by "directing " Kamal and Rajni films. We all know who directs them and who determines the stories etc. Its really sad that Kamal chooses to go again and again to these cheapshot artistes. Well maybe one reason could be that KSR and Deva are ready to shake their heads at whatever Kamal wants to do in his movies and that might be the deciding factor for Kamal.

  Rahmanfan 'andha arabi kadaloram' could be by Devan or clinton, Im not sure. The organisers did a bad job by not announcing the singers name nor the film name(probably they assumed that we know all the singers singing for ARR and all his songs:))
  
  Yes sir only those many tamizh songs. I forgot to add one more hindi song. sadhana and ARR sang hindi version of 'chinna chinna aasai'(Rojaa)

  I definitely did not expect to follow my previous post so soon with this one. Seems to be a really bad album. Ranks among his worst ever.
  Porkalam, Alangati Mazhai and Swasame are okay. I am simply not able to listen to the others at all!.
  
  Probably this was expected since he did it on such a short notice. A.R.Rahman definitely has to accept fewer movies if he is working on a tight schedule. But it is really not heartbreaking since I did not expect much from this. Hope Zubeida and Lagaan are better.

  I totally disagree with you. I know how people ridiculed Kizhakku Cheemayilae, saying Illayaraja would have done a better job. I'm betting on the album to become a super hit.

  I did not comment on anything about the album becoming a hit or not nor am I saying that another MD would have done a better job. I am just telling that this album does not conform to the very high standards that ARR has set for himself over the past few years.

  This is movie is a commercial (comedy) one. I guess you would appreciate the songs more after you see them on screen. This is not a movie like Bombay or Roja. Its all out commercial. There could be many factors the dictated/influenced the music score. Taking all these into account, I think ARR has done a great job.

  Just as I am listening to them again and again, I really love the three songs I mentioned. The other songs are growing on me just like most of ARR songs do. You are right. This is a commercial movie and it is difficult to rate it just listening to the audio. But at home we just listen to the audio. What I wrote was just the feeling I got immediately after I listened to it the first time. That too after listening to Rythm

  I agree with Sabari except Alankati, Porkalam, and Swasame all other songs are suck. Even in the Alankati song kamal's voice is terrible. Oh my god. I can't take this. Please help me.

  When first time I was hearing rhythem songs, I told my friend, ARR style has been changed because of the Non tamil singers. Thennali, I can't even explain it

  I'm listenin' to ARR's Thenali. And, I wasn't expecting much. Firstly, he was rushed .. and ARR definitely needz his time.
  
  Secondly, the songz ain't dat bad .. I'm listenin' to the songz through real audio. Which isn't dat bad quailty .. but isn't good quality either .. I'm definitely gonna get the CD no matter what. Kiliye isn't dat great ... listenin' to it now. But wat i noticed is this .. sound is SOOO different from real to CD. So probably, the CDz will sell well. Or average or so.

  All,
  
  I have plans to go to the San Fransisco concert on October 8. I am planning to get a $100 ticket. I am in a great dilemma. I do not know which seat to choose, the ones facing the stage (which autmatically implies that it is far from the stage) or the ones in the side which are appreciabley closer to the stage (but I will not face the stage). Anyone who has been to the concerts before in Toronto or other place, particuarly RAMKI, can you give me advice on this?
  I need to buy the tickets by tonight and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
