  Thanks for the appreciation and corrections. The changes have been incorporated in the page. I am also planning to include some notes on the raga of each song, links to other resources on that particular raga (e.g. other songs set to the same raga, etc.)

  Don't come to this conclusion, we have already enough complaints about violating copyright laws. Buy cassettes or CDs and also enjoy the songs provided on the net. This would be fair to the producers and MDs who spent their times to bringing out the albums. This is my small opinion :))

  I think Vijay said that in a lighter sense. But i guess we shd use the net only to sample songs and get a feel before we buy the albums. Also, it kills music if u hear it on the net - .

  Excellent work. I just listened to the song
  anada Ragam from panner pushpangal after along time . (I could not get the cassette /CD in LA)The prelude memerised me (the group violins and the flute really awesome). Thanks for providing
  me the oppurtunity to listen to that song after so long . Pl. continue your great work. For 1976- 1984 songs you can contact vijay. He is doing another excellent job.

  I am afraid not, Ramki. I dont have the songs in my collection, which by itself is very small. I think I have exhausted almost all the IR songs that I have on cassettes. Next I will be moving on to Classical hits of MSV, G.Ramanathan etc. (to be included in the 3rd page). Once I have reached some 40-50 songs, I will start including the original carnatic concert pieces for most of the ragas. How does that sound?
  
  Any way I will look for IR's collections, when I visit Vienna or Germany next time (though I am not very optimistic). The place where I live is a rathole close to the Slovenian border :-) and even looking for hindi music is like searching for the proverbial horse horn :-)

  Since you didnt provide your mail id, I have to answer your qns. here ;-)
  
  I am in Austria, actually. The city I infest is called Graz, about 40 Kms from the slovenian border. I am doing my masters' in Telematics (Telecommunication and Informatics).
  
  And the collection of songs that I have now was painstakingly built up in the last three years, during my journeys to vienna and germany. Quite a good performance, considering I had brought just two carnatic cassettes with me when I came here. The collection has grown to some 50-60 cassettes now, with carnatic, hindustani, jazz, film music (hindi, malayalam and tamil), western classical etc. I have stopped collecting, since I will be leaving Austria soon :-(
