National Awards - A Comprehensive List

I am starting this to compile a list of National Awards won by artists in TFM - even those awards won by TFM artists in other languages.

  K.J. Yesudas has so far won 7 national awards in the best male vocalist category for the following movies:
  
  1. ACHANUM BAAPPAYUM (Malayalam)
  
  2. GAAYATHRI (Malayalam)
  
  3. CHITCHOR (Hindi)
  
  4. MEGHASANDESAM (Telugu)

  It is a pity that Tamil film musicians be it MDs like MSV, KVM, TRP, SMS, SVV, GR, etc. and singers like TMS, Sirkazhi, CSJ, Loganathan did not get even one national award despite their uncomparable services. No one can ever sing the classical film melodies of Sirkazhi? Can KJY?

  KVM has won two national awards, both for
  Telugu movies. One for Shankarabharanm
