  i heard that this movie is a remake of telugu movie "amma naana oka thamizh ammayee" acted by ravitheja and asin(her first movie, i guess).

  hehewalrus the point they want to stress is, that usualy in tamilnadu we have appa's first letter as our initial la..here oru paiyan amma mela konda athiga paasathla he keeps his initial as the first letter of his mother's name....... athaan matter....wat is wrong with this movie title..this is very nice..far far better than those crap titles "vaa vaada manmadha", "en purushan ethir veetu ponnu" etc.,

  En purushan Ethir Vittu ponnu......wat a movie was that..
  
  superb direction, superb narration, superb screenplay, wonderful BGM, even better Songs, to go with first class choreography....
  
  this is the best movie i've seen for a very long time...i will not be surprised if it gets a NA ....
