Puthirapaasam in Tamil cinema

Hey guys,
S.A.Chandrasekhar promoted Vijay (Although he has a chappai face)
Illaiyaraja promotes both Yuvan and Karthik(future copy cats unworthy of their father) and his daughter bhavadharini (her vocals are unlimited in their limits)
Bharatiraja promotes his son Manoj (Another chappai face).
How long will tamil audience putup with this my-son-after-me syndrome. I can accept if these guys had any talent. Their latents till now are latent.

  We should not let quality be sacrificed at the altar of puthira pasam. BR heroinekku mattum calcuttalerndhu Riya sen kondu varaar. En oru nalla herova paarkka koodadhu. Ellam thanakke. Correcta vayathula adikanum. why can't they spend this money in drama and bring out good actors and actress. Sivaji ganesan wasn't very handsome (with his thoppai) but his drama background made him an excellent actor. So instead of giving back what they have achieved from industry back to the industry these guys like BR and IR are trying bring family rule. Individually they are great. But their attitude sucks and we tamil film goers are allowing them to get away with such arrogant attitude.

  In this forum atleast have seen a few hundreds who feel sad that nobody looks at lyrics nowadays. I ask this question to you, those hundreds. You look at lyrics, you don't like them or you consider them not good at all. Do you not buy the CD's. You do whatever is being thrashed out we buy the CD we go watch the movie.
  For us it's just $11 in USA or Rs220 in India for the CD and about $9 in USA for the movie. But for the directors it's a huge amount. If 10,000 ppl don't mind giving $9 for a substandard movie like Taj Mahal we have 10000 unsatisfied persons. But BR has $90000 in his pocket. Who is he going to care about quality then. We would again go watch his next movie HOPING that that would be good. We have for the past 50 yrs hoped that everything would go right in India and are still hoping. Should we be called extreme optimists because of our Hoping or total imbeciles and idiots because we can't do anything about anything ???

  I think this whole nepotism bulls**t n TF is crap and unrequired.However I believe that YSR did get an easy entry into TFM because of his fathers name,but he is putting genuine hard work into producing quality songs.So he is an example of a good result of nepotism.But I agree that KR is no good and Bhavatharani is probably the most god-awful singer I have ever had the misfortune to hear!

  Karthik, if you were a Director or any big shot, and if you had a son, even you would do the same thing that these Directors and other big shots are doing now, i.e., promoting their sons/ daughters, etc. I don't think there is anything wrong in that. If they are really talented, they will stay. If they are not, the film-goers are not fools to watch their movies.
  
  Eg.: Karthik stayed. Manoj, on the other hand, is struggling hard, though he has a father called Bharathiraja.
  
  It may be easier for star sons and daughters to enter the Film Industry, but they have to prove their mettle to last long, and it becomes all the more harder for them after that, as people start comparing them with their well-known and experienced fathers.
