Suspense Music by MDs

Suspense is a forgotten genre in tamil movies. It is mostly due to release of third rate movies like My Dear Liza.. etc movies. But let us look at music of some suspense movies.

Adhe Kangal had wonderful score i think it is my MSV.
Tik Tik Tik, Sigappu Rojakkal had terrific score

Vidiyum Varai Kathiru one of the most underrated suspense movie(Bhagyaraj) had wonderful score.

Nooravathu Naal, 24 Mani Neram had nice score.

Oomai Vizigal was a break through movie with break through music.

  Pudhiya paravai, which is a kind of thriller had a splendid music from MSV. Even he matched the thrill with the songs also (eg) one of the greatest orchestrated TFM song aengae nimmadhi. This song itself has an inherent implication that this film is a kind of suspense or thriller movie, just like everyone will come to know that dhaevadhai iLam devi aenna sutRum aavi of anbae sangeedha is a virahathaaba song by a man and the environment/story is having aavis in it :-).

  Nooravathu Naal has some wonderful BGM score.That movie can be watched only for the BGM itself.Even today when you watch the movie, one will be chilled with the rerecording.The song "Vizhiyile Mani Vizhiyil Mouna Mozhi Pesum Annam" is an additional treat.

  Sathyaraj, in a recent interview on SunTV, cited 2 main factors behind his role in 'nooraavdhu naaL' becoming a big success. They were camera work (Sabha) and BGM. He continued to say that composing a song and making it a hit is something that many people have done, but that nobody has matched the BGM of IR.
