Simran sings for Harris Jayaraj

Simran's New Avatar?

For all those who thought Simran could do nothing else other than acting, dancing or showing off a little flesh to delight the audience, it is time to change your views. It appears like Simran who was a ‘bathroom singer’ all these years is up for some ‘real singing’. She is working on a pop album with the current sensational music director Harris Jeyaraj. The album is more likely to hit the markets during the beginning of next year. Simran after her marraige with Deepak has recently declined offers to act in new movies. Is she up for ‘a big boom’ in singing also?

  doesn't she realize her voice is like a man's voice.
  I heard her original voice in a interview, its like forest duck.

  Maybe there are some "scary" pieces in this album like "Omaahazeeyan" which requires that it be spooky and at the same time be as "alien" as possible. HJ can avoid some extra work on this part if it is sung by Simran.

  Little insiders scoop on choosing simran.
  As we all know its a remake of Bhoot but with a slight difference.In bhoot the bhoot takes over Urmilas body and makes her do all kinds of stuff. But in 'shock' the boodham gets slightly confused about whos the wife:) so by accident it enters prashanths body and starts singing a lullaby for her kid that was murdered. So the producer(thyagarajan) was looking for a female voice that has a trace of masculinity(and very suitable for prashanth)and finally decided on Mrs deepak.

  Simran would have heard Udit Narayan sing in Tamil. Parthiban would have heard Simran sing in Tamil. Surya would have heard Parthiban sing in Tamil. So it is just a case of "Ivaney paadaraaney, namma paadina enna?"
