S.P Bala the greatest??????

hi guys,

For me spb is the best bcos he is an all rounder/versatile and conquered tfm 4 a long time...But some are saying that upcoming singers like HH and UK already reached spb's stature and maybe better than him...What are your comments??? I am a fanatic fan of this great spb..so my fellow fanatics,plz e-mail me if you want to discuss more abt spb.....

  In terms of manly voice SPB stands out of all of them, even the ghantasala also had a manly voice.
  
  SPB bass voice is very deep(shankaraparanam), another song "aval oru menagai","malare mounama","sundari kannal oru sethi, solla di","amma amma en ar uyire", i can come up with millions more.
  
  SPB modulates songs & express feelings like no other singers in IMF, Tms was good at modulating but as good as SPB + TMS did not have an amzing voice like SPB.
  
  SPB's carnatic is 100% than of TMS!

  While i dont dispute SPB's greatness, Mohd Rafi's Voice quality has been undermined in this thread.
  
  Just listen to Baiju Bawra songs. or listen to "suhaani raat dal chuki"
  the depth of his voice in bass will just take you out of this world.His voice's frequency in all the octaves till date is unsurpassed.especially when you compare his with somebody like HH, the unbearable blarr in high pitches of HH can be noted.
  ofcourse in TFM only TMS comes close to SPB in this aspect. KJY's voice was deep in his prime days but he too struggled in higher octaves.despite his classical background he could not match SPB's BHAAVA filled rendering.

  Feelings are expressed very beautifully by Rafi. No doubt. Listen to "chaudhavin ka chaand" and baiju bawra. And the songs I had mentioned??
  
  While u cannot imagine Rafi singing Shankarabharanam, u can also not imagine SPB in Rafis ghazals/classicals.
  
  Rafi was also very versatile and suited every mood impeccably. He is definitely in the same league as SPB.

  I am so glad 2 see so many SPB fans with So many threads about this awesome voice of Padmashree Dr. SPB, please ignore some ignorant idiots like bharath & Doubter, do not bother replying to them, if you do, they will reply with more garbage.
  
  Now coming back to SPBji , he is the greatest singer in India today, no doubt he has achieved a lot more than the late gem, M.rafi, he has crossed 40,000 songs in 35 years In business, that is a staggering 3 songs a day!!!.
  
  He is nothing but a pure gift of god, as Indian we must all be proud of him. One draw back of SPB is being south Indian, which meant that even though he is better than M.rafi, he is not as famous as M.rafi, which is shame, if he was northie, he would have been more famous than M.rafi, by the M.rafi’s favourite singer is SPB, & SPB’s favourite is M.rafi ,KJY & S.janaki.
  
  He has till date 13 national awards along with KJY, no other singers in Indian History had it or has it now. Besides singing he also dub voices for Kamal, Mohan, NR & few other telugu actors.
  
  In terms of his voice, well every body knows this, he is the ultimate in India today. At 55 he sounds like 25, definition of his voice
  
  1) Heavy bass / manly voice
  2) Only singer along with M.rafi &lata who can sing at the highest pitch (37th Key)
  3) Excellent modulation
  4) Excellent expression of emotions
  5) Ability to sing in 1-37 keys,, even KJY can not do that!!!
  
  
  But now, ARR bought some singers who were singing in streets, clubs & funerals, like HH, what the heck what nasal idiot, Udit son of the great nasalist in the world Kumar sanu, unnikrishnan, nasal & femine voice, srinivas nasal blocked voice, it is very irritating to listen to these idiots. These would not even survive another two years, some singers who sings in bathrooms will come soon,only god knows
  
  SPBji please come back, we beg you and do some justice to your 99.99% of your IFM fans
