Moods of Raja

No, this is not about Raja's forthcoming album 'Moods of Ilayaraja'. As we all know, Raja has crossed 800 films now and has scored for varied situations / emotions, many of which have been unique and have not been attempted by the MDs past and future. Some of the unique situations are:

1) Nanoru sindhu (Sindhu Bhairavi)
2) Madai thirandhu (Nizhalgal)
3) Thakida thadhimi (Salangai oli)
etc. etc.

IMHO, these many variety of situations and emotions have not been handled by any other MD and I doubt if anybody
has done this around the world. I used to wonder how other MDs would have handled these situations.
It would be interesting to have a discussion on such songs where other MDs could not have done better, of course
without mud-slinging other MDs.

  Why I m telling in the sense,there are so many songs which were totally wasted by the Film Directors(FD) in the film..

  Pani Mazhai Vizhum (mood of a twilight snowy evening)
  O Nenjame (imagine a scenario where it is snowing in ooty!)
  O Maya (from Ennakagu kkathiru) (walking in the hills and everglades)

  The bestsituation is " mandram vantha thendral" in mouna raagam. where 2 newly wed couples want divorce for no particluar reason.
  
  The song starts wonderfully in a signal in delhi.
  
  "medaiyai pole vazhkai alla, nadagam mudinthathum vilagi sella"
  
  really touched me! Wonderful tune for such a situation!
  
  I think IR's mojd should have been that of a silent quiet evening where one thinks nostralgically about bygone days! soft smooth guitar! sort of dusk... and when we are lying alone in our house... staring blindly..
  
  The situation was also taken very well... moving from delhi roads to a hurry-burry party and then a quiet semi-sleep in the bedrrom for revathi...
  
  look ath the way the lights and the bed are arranged in that shot from the ceiling.
