  sc, I saw the scenes on Sun Tv. The trailers...they showed scenes from 6 songs in the trailers. If i remember correctly, the one wit Manam Valikithe had the hero clutching his heart dramatically. I'm not sure whether the movie's been released or when it will be releasing. But u can get the mp3s.

  hey mathavan.. "nilaavey vaa" (mouna ragam and not udhaya geetham) ..thats not a love duet nor a 'kadhal tholvi" song...its a pathos song alright but its 'after-marriage' song... cannot come under 'love-pathos'...IMO

  yeah! though story wise she was not a widow and wife of gemini still it is not a kaadhal tholvi song. If that is the case the song azhagu malar aada abinayangaL sooda from vaidegi kaathirundaaL also qualifies to the list.

  "maalai pozhudhin" and "azhagu malar aada" shd qualify under "the feeling that one has with hubby is dead/not around". Both are masterpieces in terms of lyrics, composition,rendition,picturisation and the orchestration. Music Wins. Can anyone list a category of these songs? Shd be sad and not romantic/vulgar.

  'kanavugale kanavugale kalainthu sellungal' from aanantha raagam. A great tune well sung by KJY. imo, this is the best. Just listen to it if you get a chance. I also like

  vasantha kaala kolangaL FROM thaayagam sung by SJ acted by lakshmi music by IR lines by KKD?
  
  Lakshmi and Shivaji will be loving each other but due to some misunderstanding lakshmi will ditch shivaji and this song is a kind of virakthi due to love failure sung by lakshmi.

  no Vj it is indeed thaayagam(homeland) only and NOT thyaagam(sacrifice). Yes that film has nallavarkellam plus one more v.good duet by TMS,PS(?) thaen malli poovae poonthendRal kaatrae. I guess MD of thyaagam(sacrifice) is MSV or someone else and not IR.

  i am very sure that i am correct. IT IS THYAAGAM. thats all what i can say. i saw the songs from the film in 'oru pada paadal' in DD recently. "Thaayagam" is a Vijaykanth movie (MD - Deva) some 4 years back with Ranjitha as heroine, which, as usual, is a disaster.

  i'm sorry to have confused u. i've seen the movie itself in a video coach bus. somehow i felt(even now) that the movie name is thaayagam.
