PB Srinivos & Tamil

Does anybody know whether PBS still sings ? What was his last Tamil film song? I just cannot forget the happiness and optimism that he succeeds in creating in the listener through that immortal song "Kalangalil Aval Vasantham". Not to speak of unforgettable songs like "Paadada Paatelleam Padavanthal...", "Chithirame Solladi, Muthamittal Enndai" and so on. That voice is a gift to mankind.

  I think his last song was in Oomai Vizhigal. Thoazhvi nilaiyena ninaiththaal manitham ....

  PBS songs are absolutely fantastic.
  I have a CD with most of the songs mentioned above. And I could never get enough of it listening to it late in the night.
  
  Why dont they make songs like this anymore !!

  the last PBS sang for a tamil is for the film nAlaya seidhi MD is Adhityan i dont' remember the starting lyrics but it is a good melody..

  Unbeatably some of the best songs in Tamil Movie Industry was sung by P B Srinivos. Not only dont they make singers like him any more , they do not even make songs like that any more. Can anyone give me the site where there is a collection of Old Tamil Songs ?

  I think PBS also donned the mantle of a lyricist sometimes. If memory serves me right, I think he wrote the lyrics for a song in 'Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu' and some songs for 'Nandu'.

  PBS knows several languages and has penned an album of hindi songs sung by S Janaki (Balaji O Balaji/Koel). Apparently, the Woodlands Drive-in is his favorite hang-out. In recent years, he's released devotional albums - Mukundamala & Sanskrit devotional hymns.
