What happened to Ranjith Barot's Achcham Thavir

Achcham Thavir, the 12B Vikram Singh produced, Mani Ratnam's assistant, Shiva Kumar directed film is yet to see the light of the day. The film has music by Ranjith Barot and lyrics by Vairamuthu. The film stars; R Madhavan, Jothika, Shobana and others.

  But madhavan's site still says it is there for release. The same producer Vikram Singh is producing Laysa Laysa, which is also stuck in cans.

  Ranjit Barot is a percussionist and the son of the Kathak danseuse - Sitara Devi. I have talked to a few in the Kodambakkam music crowd who think he is simply fantastic. According to them he finds it difficult to work with film makers as they are far too lax with their schedules.
