Ohhhhhhhhhh wait just one moment...
Yo.. STS... unnodaya peyarai.. nee ezhuthu apparam nee enakku buthi sollalam seiriya kannu.
Enna peiriya politics... sollu parkalam? ARR vantha puthuselae...
ARR started small, he did not accept more than 25000 rupees for roja, ... but look at him to day, he get crores of money just for his album..It was TALENT man.... his success is due to his hard work.... even after composing BOMBAY DREAMS for Andrew Lloyd Webber... he could have stayed there and made millions there but he chose to come to india... thats where he stands...
And KK, (calling me JustIce is it.. you think i give damn about your lame 2 cent insult.. i'm melting... whats your for KK. (kiasu king) Go look at your KK b4 trying to act smart.... Well Anyway you came down here and corrected me on who corrected me on which MD introduced the singers.. awwwww. its so sweet of you..
Ahhh ***** IT,
IT DOESN'T MATTER who introduced them... THE FACT OF THE MATTER is that most of them got really NOTICED and darn popular only after ARR... and thats the BOTTOMLINE..
you know something for those of you who complain right.. you really have not idea how difficult it is to compose music... Not every song a music director composes HAS TO BECOME A MAJOR HIT.. all it has to do is to appeal to you... honestly speaking....
The world is beside.. ARR is to stay... just because of vaitherichal.. anyway... i can bet you.. those who come here complain and whine so much... don't tell me there is not even one song you like from ARR... cause if you don't... YOU HAVE GOT NO TASTE
SONGS WITH OUT LYRICS IS INSTRUMENTAL
SONGS WITH OUT MUSIC IS POETRY
What ever it is Vasanth says JUST BRING IT.
Vasanth...

Based on the info on Tenali (comedy and all that), I expected a much peppier, faster score...more like Ingirango (What does it mean??). Would be interesting how the slower songs fit in with the movie!

OnE MeAn JuStIcE,
Hope u have some sense..well ARR was introduces by KB and MR directed that movie allright he recieved just 25,000 bucks..ok man...But do u know the fact that due to the friction between IR and KB .. ARR came out not because of hardwork but because some good promoters he had in KB and MR..unlike IR who toiled for years to become a Music Director....
Another Q to u ..do u think that ARR will recieve the same 25000 bucks if he happens to score music for KB r MR again....now. But IR dont charge Panchu Arunachalam even now..... Panchu Arunachalam gives him what he thinks....even if the sales is good IRR doesn't demand any.....thats his loyalty to the person who introduced to the filmdom....

A candid review by Ranojoy (and Makarand Apte for 'swasame')
These are really my FIRST impressions. And contrary to the other opinions, I wouldn't say this album was all that bad. Deep Fores'tish again in parts.
1. Aalangati mazhai: Strong opening, something like Thirupachi Arivale. But no cows this time. Instead we have sneezing!!!!!! Very annoying. Anyway, the 'Haiyora' parts are not original. Deep Forest featured in the Ralph Fiennes (Pronounced Ray FYnes) movie "Strange Days" soundtrack and had two songs, one of them with Peter Gabriel. The other song, "Coral Lounge" has a piece which inspired Rahman in these Haiyora parts.. The original goes Heiiiya instead of Haiyo.
2. Injarango: If you heard Sambo Sambo, this is similar. But better! Especially in the second verse. But really annoying Tamil horns, like the trumpeting of Elephants!!! I hope that's what they call it. And moreover there's this 1980s RD Burmanesque HO JAYE part which is BEYOND annoying. Totally uncharacteristic of Rahman.
3. Porkalam: This is a bit crazy. The song is the best in the album. BUT this seems to be almost the same as some song from Hairaan (Kshana Kshanam) by M.M Keeravani. Please check it out and confirm. The song starts off so beautifully!!!!! Rahman of old....but then he gets to "Kaadhalan" and these lines are almost exactly similar to that song! Even the first line reminds of something. You have to listen to this to believe me! I would still call it the best song in the album in spite of everything..
4. Thenaali: If you didn't get enough of the Sakhiyae part of Pachchai Nirame after watching the first 45 minutes of Alai Payuthe, here it is again. Almost the same. The song is average.
5. Athini Chithini: Completely avoidable. Except the "ooooo" part which Chitra or whoever the female singer is sings better than the male (Hariharan, judging by his falsettos). Sounds like violin notes performed by voices. But even this part sounds a bit used.. But right after this comes this REALLY REALLY annoying part which I cannot even describe. Followed by Veerapannae Khottaile type strings. The songs is very classical except in the oooo parts. Not very Rahmanesque.
6. Swasame: beautiful composition, mostly follows raga kedar, but deviates to a more serious raga (I can't recall... its commonly used in ghazals) in the stanzas of the song. this songs sounds a bit discontinuous with its flow at times, but this happens with most of Rahman's songs until they are digested.
Amazingly enough, the bad parts are so bad that they stick out much more than the good parts. If you heard Mudhalvan, and like me, finally adjusted to it, you will adjust to this one as well. But the elephants trumpetting, the sneezing, the Ho Jaye, and the parts after the "OOOO" in Athini Chathini which sounds like a person trying to make his horse run faster is bound to keep us running to the FF button on tape or Cd.. Two suggestions: Rahman should accept better movies. And second, whatever loops he used earlier in his career, he should go back to them. Because the songs are still not very original, but far less effective as far as the programming is concerned.

Listening to Zubeida now!
There are totally 8 tracks in the album. The most notable part of the album is that only Indian perscussion instruments have been used. A very melodious album, rahman never ceases to amaze me!
Just too good to be missed.
