Surprising nobody's discussing the release of Raman's new album, Star!

The songs...(as posted in arrahman egroups, by Sivakumar)

1. Nenthukitten (Karthick & Chitra Sivaraman) - This is a new song

2. Manasukkul oru Puyal(S.P.B, Sadhana Sargam)- Boondaein se Baatein (thakshak)

3. Rasika ( Sujatha & S.P.B) - Rang De (thakshak)

4. Maccha Macchiniye(Unni Menon) - Ruth Aaa gayi re (from Earth)

5. Nenthukitten(repeat)

6. Thom Karuvil Irunthom (Shankar Mahadevan) - Dheem Ta Dare(with Lyrics instead of the Raga rendition)

the lyrics for Maccha Macchiniye by Vairamuthu r really sick. other lyricists in the album r Palani Bharathi, Piraisoodan.

  I very much interest to see new album of STAR after Thenali. This would be my next Tamil CD collection after Thenali.

  Man... this album really sucks... the lyrics are abysmal. Ayya... "Rang De" engira word-kku vera substitute-ae kidaikkalaiyaa ?? Adhu ennappa "Rasiga Rasiga" ??? Kodumai appa !!
  
  Then comes the even more pathetic "Macha machiniye" (Ruth Aa gayi re !!). Ayya.. idhu dhaanappa Tamizh kolai endru solvaargal.
  
  Think ARR is running out of fuel these days. Thenali, 12ka4, Luv u hamesha, now Star (Of course, Zubeidaa and Lagaan were good). But generally his consistency has come down a lot, IMO.

  Man what an awful album. ARR's comeback isn't proving to be too effective. I can name some albums by Deva which are better than this tragic effort. I think ARR made the mistake of taking a break from TFM.Now There are other MD's such as YSR, KR, Harris who have made his efforts to re-enter TFM almost impossible. It looks like ARR has run out of sample cd's according to STAR.I think maybe they can re-name the movie to FALLING STAR.

  why are you surprised karthik?the latest album from ARR has already been analysed about a year back.Thenali will go back in another avatar to hindi-and hopefully atleast that audience will go in raptures.
