One very disturbing trend in IR's music these days is his excessive use of synth. His songs sounded really melodious with his Violins, Guitar and Flute. I never get to listen to songs with good violin interludes these days.

For example, in the song "kola kuyile" from Kakkai Chiraginile, one can really feel the voidism of violins. The synthestic violin sounded like the sounds you listen in a wedding reception!

Listen to 'nilave mugam kaattu', especialy the song 'thendralai kandu kolla maane'. It has some vintage Raja violins in the interlude.

In NMK, Sutrathe Boomi Thaye song sung by chitra has some amazing interludes..

Also the slogan chanting mixing in " Thendralai kandu kolla" is superb.. In all NMK has some vintage touch of IR.

Vimal, Though kola kuyile lacks some typical IR instruments, I like the tune and the way SPB has sung it.

Alex was supposed to happen much before. It is definitely shelved. The chances of IR working with Rajni are very very slim.

No way my friend.Rajni himself has meet with our IR and ask him to score music for his forthcoming movie titled as"Alex".IR also accept this offer.Rajni also mansion that this movie would be very very superhit than Padayappa.Because that he chose our IR.He is the only genius who can do what other MD can't.

There's some news on upcoming Raja movies in this weeks edition of 'aaraamthinai.com'.

According to the e-zine,

Sethu is set to release for Deepavali. Which means the audio should be out soon.

All songs have already been recorded for the Fazil-Vijay-Shalini-IR movie. But, it says the movie is yet to be named. It also says the songs are expected to make waves like the previous movie by this combo -kaathalukku mariyaathai.

Prabu Deva is eagerly awaiting the release of Time. It is expected to do well.
