True Melody

True melody is slowly fading from our tamil film songs of late( more after yr 2000).
What is the main reason?

1.Lack of good new MDS??
2.younger generation prefer rap/ pop?
3.lyrics are not apealing?
4. Tamil film viewers want change??

  Suresh, I definitely DONT think its because of younger generation or tamil viewers wanting a change because even today melodies songs rule the roost (recent examples being Indhu dhaana, aalanguyil, ovvoru pookalumae, kanden kanden...).

  Suresh, I totally agree with you. Ippa music kidayadhu. Only saththam. Lyrics nalla illaiya or else eppadiyum instruments saththathil namba ezhudhuvadai people ketkappovadhillai enru ninaippa so called poets(!)kku. Rhyming words mattum dan Ketkum so Anybody can write a song.In fact Raja,roja,manasu-Kolusu,mane-thene,kannil-nenjil,poove-theve or theeye, inda madiri words vechchu oru chinna program ezhudhinal I think we will get lot of songs.
