Quick question!

In the song, Thanga Magan from Batcha, the starting music has been lifted from some western classical symphony. Can anyone tell me the name of the symphony and the composer?

  In fact that Symphony was from European composer and was first copied by IR for his own Symphony (Symphony from Symphony yet to be released, god knows when) later copied by Deva for Thanga Magan. So the better person to ask this question would be the great copy-cat IR.

  Enge ayya IR-oda symphony-a keatteergal?? Chumma wihtout any reason or proof why do you talk about IR? Not just you, I have seen many people like you in many threads arguing just for the sake of it... I don't get it.
  
  FYI: 'iruvar' came after 'batcha'. You listen to 'narumugaye' and 'thangamagan'. Both are based on the same raga (naattai, I think). you can see ARR's usage of chords are identical to deva's thangamagan. Now would you call that copied, inspired or co-incidental or what?

  Common be like an IR fan. Just listen to any Symphony and call it " first Asian to compose Symphony". IR is surrounded by full of hype so anything is possible in his dream world.

  As far as I know, both songs (Thanga magan from Baadsha and Narumugaiye from Iruvar) are based on the Raga Naattai. But experts say Narumugaiye is Gambeera Naattai or Chala Naattai or something like that! That hairsplitting is not for a layman like me!

  I have just listened to to thangamagan-I mistook your query to be for annamalai annamalai-THAT was from Beethoven's 5th.

  I had a nice trip thanx.Got en manavaanil-excellent songs.liked them all in first listening-did not need to listen to them for about a hundred thousand times before I started liking the first line of the first song.It was love at first listening.same for Ivan.Of the two,EMV is better.

  For songs of IR, you either like them in the first instance or not at all.
  However, the percentage of liking his songs at first hearing is now less than 0.5%.

  Only less than 0.5% of total Tamil music lovers listen to IR songs these days. I couldn't believe even among them, the percentage of liking his songs at first hearing is now less than 0.5%. Some people in this forum things that he should be scoring music for Hollywood films.
