IR's new albums!

  review of the album "azhagi", music by "rAgadhevaN" ilayarAjA.
  
  1. oLiyile therivadhu - it's the only song which gives the tfm fans a relief for buying the movie's audio cassette. All the while a neat song. karthik has sung really well. he has got a really bright future ahead. rAja should stop trying on catchy tunes(like the young md's), which he was doing for quite some time now, and instead he should kindly consider working on tunes like this, which is his forte. i really don't know why he has been trying for something which is not coming his way. If he had used a good female singer it would have made the song a great one. bavadhArini has tried her best to pull the neat song down. good contribution from the national award winner :-- ))))(nakkal) (8/10)
  
  2. oru sundari vandhAlAm - This song is a kadhambam of rAjA's previous albums. Starts like oru gundumani kulungudhai(avathAram) and later picks up oru maina kunju maadhulam pinjhu(oru Orla oru rAjakumari)song. No effort from rAja's side for this song, simply recycled!!! couldn't hear for the second time. (0/10)
  
  3. pAtusolli pAdasolli by sAdhanA Sargam - This song is starting deliberately like kaadhal oviyum(alaigal Oyvadhillai). As usual sAdhanA sargam kills tamil(Thamizh kolai). this song don't have a proper rhythm. beats just don't fall in the right place. gives a jarring efect to listeners's ears.in oLi Oviyar's(tamil perfectionist) movie this song should definitely have been avoided(2/10)
  
  4. chittu chittu kuruvikku - This song's beat will make u remember the "vEtukku vEtukku vAsapadi venum"(kizhakku vAsal)song. Again bavadhArini irritates the music lovers with her pungent nasal voice. I dunno why rAja is giving bavadhArini a chance to sing? After all we are the poor ones buying the cassettes and hearing the songs. I couldn't stand her voice, so naturally the song is getting a bad review from me. (3/10)
  
  5. un kuththamA by rAja - The song opens like "unna nenachen paatu padichen" (abOrva sagodhararghal). rAja gives nothing new in this song. if u have heared rAja's sad songs for the past 10 years, then definitely u wouldn't want to hear this song. nothing new at all...another sad song to rAja's collection, thaz it. since i like rAja's voice, this song just passes the test. (5/10)
  
  overall the album gets 18/50 which is 36/100. so the album fails to impress. i wouldn't recommend others to buy this album and make the mistake that i have made. maybe if u go for a tea shop and get to listen the songs, it'll be ok. sorry rAja, try best next time to impress.

  I agree it is your right to comment ANYTHING about any album, But 2/10 for 'Paattu solli paada solli' ??? This betters what Madhan commeneted about Nandha's BGM ! In your opinion what sort of songs get 10 / 10 ? Malai malai marudha malai ?

  This is really too much.Every songs in Azhagi are nice.Four songs are 9/10 then another two is 10/10.So don't give stupid marks.Okey????

  Nagas and S.P.Mahendran...as i have been repeating quite often, raja has reached such heights that what you derive and ultimately understand from any song is purely dependent on how much evolved you are as a listener towards appreciating 'sophisticated' yet 'subtle' music. Unfortunately 'vimarsagan' has just peeled one layer. As i said, not all are fortunate enough to listen to music created by someone who has realized the boundaries of the universe of sound('naadhabrahmam' ) and is striving to cross even those boundaries...all in my humble opinion...
  
  (one afterword though: that 36/100 represents vimarsagan's understanding level of IR's azagki. He is yet to mature up another 164..yes, IR is 200/100 dear friends)

  [And a personal request dear vimarsagan. As far as possible try to create "harmony" and not "discord". This will help you a lot.(Did you know that creating harmony is unbelievably easy and helpful both to you as well as the society. Believe me, every IR song is a testimony to that. Every IR song adds to the pulsating harmony of this universe. Open your heart and you will know. Wishing you best in your life. :-)]

  :-) dear Nagas, S.P.Mahendran...On second thoughts, i guess we are falling for some kind of trap here. So it is better we take a decision to avoid reacting to such posts that seem to have "multiple objectives"....IMHO

  Can u guess...the situation for the song of Bhavatharini's in Alazgi..??? Come on ..Give me a reply.....This will show the depth of the understanding U derived after hearing that song..!!??....Dont go again and listen and then comeback and post me a reply....!!
  
  Anyone has is personal opnion,...but try analysing before...doing things!!

  wrong thread man. you should have posted the review directly in the IR's album's reviews.
  
  Even though you are entitled to your opinion, I think you are undermining the beauty of "paatu solli" , seriously I don't believe you are not able to enjoy this song.

  i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings here. unlike many others in this thread, i am a neutral fan...i am just a fan of good music. i just don't care who the MD is...i am looking for good songs from all the MDs. in fact i would hate to call myself as someone's fan...i don't know...the whole idea of calling one as one's fan irritates me. hero worship panni panni kettadhu podhaadha? innum kedanuma? atleast, i won't be in that league. some people take pride in declaring themselves as somebody's fan...hero worship panradhula enna avvlo perumai??? i am not saying just in music...even in cinema, sports and etc., appreicate good works,efforts...do not worship anyone...
  
  if u stop hero worshipping and listen to "azhagi's songs, u'll accept that my rating for that album is true.(just trying to give u guys a new dimension). i came to this page to get to know good songs in tfm and discuss it with u guys...if u still continue to be what u r, i will erase the memories of coming to this page and will stop coming to this page. sorry for disturbing u guys in this thread...continue, u r hero worship...live long
