Speaking while singing

Don't know if this has been taken up, but I would like to discuss songs where dialogue is an integral part. For instance, Andha naal gnaabagam, Raaja kaiyya vechcha, Sippi irukkudhu, where the "spoken" part comes as a pleasant interjection.

  I think everyone forgot TMS singing "Manappaarai Madu katti" in MAKKALAIPPETRA MAGARASI where he speaks in between the song for Sh. Shivaji Ganesan, a very wonderful song with the real village taste and simple language

  The two songs in which VJ speaks, which I can recall are:
  
  1. 'enakkenna manakkavalai? inippillai kasappumillai! idhu oru thuRavu nilai! mazhaiyilE nanaigiREn! veyyilil kaaygiREn!' from 'sorgaththil thirumaNam' in which she speaks something like 'No father! No mother! Just enjoy yourself!' or some such thing!

  another MGR song - in Idhayakani - can't remember the starting lines, but TMS gives dialogues for MGR and starts with 'Engeyo paartha gnyaabagam'.

  This list is not complete without "nAn enRAl athu avaLum nAnum" from sUryakAnthi. With SPB singing and Jayalalitha interjecting, this song is very melodious and is a classic example of lyrics being apt for the situation. This song is right up SPB's alley - anubaviththu pAduvathil ivarukku nigar ivarE thAn! Jayalalitha has enhanced the appeal of this song with her ability to emote well and her English diction.
