IR real music lover !!

Guys ,
IR is real music lover amongst all composers.....usually when a very big ruling MD is replaced by new revolutionary MD the ruling MD gets highly demotivated and almosts fails composing good music...and finally stops...they are not the real music lovers...some other feelings infuence their capacity to compose ...But even when AR grabbed the market from IR completely few years back....IR still is composing good music and also hits which no MD can do ......!!see MSV,KV or any other MD from india....once their throne is grabbed they collapse ...But IR is not disturbed but kept on composing good music ....IR is true music lover ...no one can be that strong usually...just imagine his followers one by one shifting to new MD (AR)...how it will effect anyone in IR's place....MR,BC,BR,RAJNI,P.VASU,Kamal,kathir etc...one by one all....

  MSV collapsed..?I suggest you go through the cinema list in tamilcinema.com and can count MSV hits after 1976.
  
  You guys simplly make casual remarks without caring to verify facts.
  
  The more you try to project IR by pulling down other MDs more you get into the web of stupidity.
  
  Let me offer you a straight case. IR enterd in 1976.KV s Shankarabaranam was after 1976.MSV s Ninaithale inikkum was after 1976.

  I can't comprehend what's the relation between being a 'music lover' and collapsing in industry? Does this mean that once some1 else reign the music industry, the predecessor is considered collapsed and therefore declared to be a non-music lover?   What I see in KIRANs posting is that IR does music for the satisfaction instead of bothering No1. or No.n. Do not go by the comparison of MSV or other MD which would mislead the posting intent.
  
  KIRAN, I agree with you. IR never been bothered by external events ever. Note when great Dirs left IR, IR never in any interview started bad mouthing them. He infact is very confident that one day the trend will reverse. He continued to work in the same dedicated way as he was before. People in this forum else outside started saying every bad thing about him like 1. egoistic 2. He did some woodo majic and what not 3. His family was criticised. He is never purturbed by all these nonsense statement and continued to do what he feels correct to his heart. If a person wih so much ego will he do movies like Mogamul, Kutti, Bharathi etc. This proves if you are strong self-beliver nothing in this world would shake them.
  
  Only slight objection to KIRAN is that you have used statement like "Still giving good music", as if he is on the verge of loosing stock. IR will be ever giving good music..

  The entry of IR was in late 70s. And for the first few years it was all struggle for him. MSV/KVM were still ruling the industry. All the big banners and big directors were with them. The first big banner break for IR i think is Balaji's 'Dheepam'. Though 16 Vayadhiniley created more popularity for IR it wasn't a big banner and it was the director's first venture. Director Sridhar has just started with IR then. Count him after 1979 the time he had come with movies like Guru, Jhonny, Uthiripookall etc. and got himself established as No.1 MD. Ninaithaale Inikkum can be put into the struggle period.
  Competition for Ninaithaale Inikkum was Puthiya Vaarpugall, Ponnu Oorukku Puthusu etc. which were not big banners. Then came the 80s and it was all IR domination all the way. All the big banners and big directors were with him. Count the number of big hits like 'Andha 7 Naatkall'for MSV/KVM in this decade. There may be a few good numbers here and there for MSV/KVM, but hit movies were a real struggle. It was all Sterio recording which dominated this time period. Count the number of stereo albums by MSV/KVM and it will reflect how they struggled in this time period.
  After '92 it was ARR all the way to no.1 and hits or misses, most of the big banners and directors were with him. IR domination like the 80s was not there anymore. His hit movies were very few. Muscically he was still there and enjoyed a good fan support. Arguments can go on and on whether his current music is a hit or not. But he is still there. His BGMs are still looked in awe. He is still churning out albums which are talked about, but not in the frequency of 80s. Music went Digital in this period. How well IR adapted to this technology, maybe others can throw better light.
  And now we are in the '00s, another new decade. IR is still there, muscically. Maybe the big banners and big directors are not there, but he is busy. The reviews of Ivaan and EnManaVaanil proves he is still a force. Hats off !!

  NVD...I am not saying others are non music lovers...But IR is true, real music lover...since he doesn't bother about no1 or gets demotivated without commercial success ...even his private albums cover has photo of IR bending and offering namaskarams to VEENA instrument...just example ..just imagine how much respect one has on music that he will have his own photos like like that ..showing how he worships music...just like many directors who worship IR put IRS photo somewhere in the song picturisations....example in telugu movie kokila hero and heroine will be dancing in front of big posters of IR...nothing related to movie...but the respect comes out like that...even in 'en raasavin manasile' in poda poda ...song IRs poster will be shown ...

  We are in the OO's and ARR is still there...and has grown to international stature...and in the current crop of regional MDs with the kind of numbers that they churn out..I am sure that MSV can also do well if he really wanted to.

  Excellent thought. In spite of many distractions from all corners and also the age, IR is still giving the best which no one can do it. After all, just for doing the Bombay Dreams, the so-called Musical Wizard, has given continuous flops starting from Tenali, Pa.. Paravasam, Alli Arjuna and finally he put his major share Super Star's innings end movie BABA. But still, IR is holding his place with his musical geniousness. Vidya Sagar, Harris, YSR, KR, Deva, SAR, Mani Sharma, Sirpi, Sabesh Murai, Shiva etc,Bharatwaj are still trying their hard to give a hit. But IR is still giving hits like Kassi, Alazhi, Ivan, En Mana Vanil(Which is top in cassette sales). ARR's BABA is far behind in all respects compared to other hits. IR is un-beaten don in the Indian Cine Field.

  OSIG probably did not get what the topic is all about, my humble suggestion to you is to read the topic once again with no prejudice.
  Anybody who criticize IR's music, my question is have you listened to any of IR's new albums at all?
  Raja rulez quality music. May be because he is a true music lover. May be because only music motivates him.

  We enjoy the thread. If you can't understand what they are trying to say then get out of this thread. Attacking other MDs is different from praising one MD. We are praising IR not bashing other MDs.

  Aamaanga, Thenali is a flop while Ivan is a hit.
  
  Nobody can argue with this, what more with statements like Bharadwaj, etc etc are trying but ONLY IR is giving hits.

  If IR is a true music lover then he should stop scoring music and listen to ARR songs. Most directors & producers knows that IR's music is crap & irritating. Only very few people in this forum only talk about IR songs all the time because they know that talking about IR songs is better than listening. Those people who still thing that IR can give a good hits are merely waiting for an accident to happen. But if it hasn't happened for last 10 years then the chances are that it will never happen!!!

  Have added IR's Kaadhal Vandhiruchu and Uriah Heep's 'Lady in black' to my site. This instance is far from being labelled as a copy, but I sure can find traces, enough to justify an inspiration.
