  two songs..
  
  a kind of dappanguthu..
  
  both based on travel to madras...
  
  one by IR(i think) and other by ARR...
  
  They are:
        paathiya paathiya kodambakkam paathiya, kodambakkam bridge maela car-gala paathiya (i'm not sure whether this is the starting of the song but i heard this song many times when i was in my primary school. my uncles use to sing this song to me whenever i visited madras).
  
        Madrasa suthhi paakka poraen, marinavil sundal vangi thaaraen from may madham (another guide to madras visitor).
  
  
  ofcourse pudhiya vaanam pudhiya bhoomi is one of the eternal songs for such kind.
  
  Digression
    This thread makes me to point another similar kind of stuff.
  
    How about college farewell songs?
  
    Immediately 3 songs come to my mind. They are:
  
    pasumai niraindha ninaivugaLae paadi thirindha paravaigaLae (i dont remember the film name, its shivaji, savithri, nagesh movie; came around indo-china war time based on that war; music by MSV-TKR(?) )
  
    Annan marae thambi marae arumayaana akkaa marae from Aaandha Kummi; IR.
  
    Mustafa Mustafa from Kadhalar Dhinam; ARR.
  
  Amazing isn't it three great MDs of TFM had got same situations; almost in earlier part of their carrier; yet three different songs (in all aspects).
