Kamal Hassan-Singeetham Sreenivas Rao-Ilayaraaja's Krishna Leela.

Kamal's next film is to be directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. Named as Krishna Leela, it is expected to be like Kadhala Kadhala types. Singeetham and Kamal have a long standing history of comical hits like MMKR (Michael Madhana Kamaraajan), Apoorva Sahodargal, and also some really good movies like Raaja Paarvai. Lets enjoy some Kamal's Leela.

  Kamalhassan is a happy man after tasting success with Virumaandi. He was on a month long holiday in US, Canada and Europe and will be back in Chennai on February 20th. He plans to start work on his next film titled Krishna Leela, a full-length comedy.
  Krishna Leela will be directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, the man who has directed Kamal’s laugh riots like Pushpak and Michael Madan Kamarajan. Two new girls will be the heroines and the movie will also feature veterans like Rohini, Vinodhini and nine others.
  
  The story of Krishna Leela revolves around Krishna Das played by Kamal and the women in his life. Added to this a battalion of comedians like Goundamani, Vadivelu, Senthil, Vivek and ‘Chitti’ Babu will be there in the supporting cast.
  
  The film will be a start to finish project and will probably release by July. One thing that Krishna Leela promises is that “It will be the mother of all comedies”!

  IR likes both Singeetham and Kamal. Don't know why he is not accepting. May be because of TIS.
  
  But my guts feeling is he will accept eventually. If Kamal could not convince IR, he will probably go to Ramesh Vinayagam.(Who did score for Nala Damayanthi, Raj Kamal production)

  Kamal in London to hone his skills!

  If you thought Kamal Hassan was not too short of being perfect, you will be surprised to know that he is in London to hone his story-telling skills.
  
  Though he has time and again proved himself in the acting department, and also in the screenplay with 'Virumandi', he considered it prudent to sharpen his skills further.
  
  
  This is because that the actor had always believed that there is a lot to be learned in each and every department and does not feel content with his knowledge library.
  
  
  Kamal Hassan who flew to London to select locations for his forthcoming movie with Singeetham Srinivasarao 'Krishna Leela' will also attend a workshop on screenplay in the city.
  
  
  Now it means that we can see a lot of different techniques in screenplay in his upcoming movies.

  I do not see any link betwwen mazhai varuthu and enna idhu except for the some similarity in sandham.
  People should not underestimate a upcoming music director by branding him lifting him from IR tunes.Ramesh is one of the talented person who is yet to get a proper break in TFM.

  Who do not draw inspirations? You are appreciating Meenaxi from ARR.(I too like it). The starting flute music of Chillakamma is a standard BGM for Village Scenes in all old movies before IR era. Try to remember it.

  Celebrating the 50 days success of Virumaandi, Kamal Hassan’s Fans Service Society on behalf of Padmashri Kamal Hassan organized a function “Virundhu Padaikirar Virumaandi” on 7th March at the Raj Kamal office premises at Chennai. Kamal Hassan distributed rations that are needed for a day’s meal. They were given to ‘Paradise Home’, ‘Vishwanathan’ Home for aged, ‘Dharani Home’, ‘Samarpana Home’, ‘Satyanarayana Charitable Trust’, ‘Nethralaya’, ‘Little Drops’, ‘Mary Home’, and ‘Suyambhu’. Kamal also released a Tamil Atlas, “Tamizh Nilavaraipadam” which was received by noted VJ Abdul Hameed
  
  In an informal chat with the journos at the end of the function, Kamal Hassan said that he is to act in two movies. One is a Tamil, a family entertainer produced and directed by him. It will be a children’s film sans sex and violence. He would be playing an important role in the film. The title is yet to be decided. The other one being a Telugu film directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. To queries posted to him on the election issue, Kamal Hasan said that he will not join politics or will not canvass for any political party. At the end Kamal Hassan added that he welcomed competition from new heroes.

  Those were my thoughts too when I read the news.
  
  First it was 25 week celebration, then 100 days, now 50!
  
  May be it is not as bad as it sounds. May be this is just an excuse for Kamal to stay in the news and promote his next venture.

  Enna ithu as rightly pointed out, is set only in the same santham (metre). Ramesh Vinayagam is a talented music director. Did a very good job in nala damayanthi. As a fan of IR's music, I think, it is only Vidyasagar, who is cleverly recycling IR's sandhams and tunes. Ramesh Vinayagam from what I know seems to be a original. But sadly, his format of songs may not appeal to people that widely, these days.
