  There was film called "Engiruntho vanthaan", it was remake of a malayalam film, starring Sathyaraj + Roja, the music for this film was composed by MSV, 4 songs were renderd by SPB, out of the four there was a song called "Engiruntho vandhan, yaathva kolathu", it is a semi- classical, superbly rendered by SPB!

  Yes. Raghuvaran. I too remember that semi classical song. I think all the songs are by SPB only. One more melody is also good. But I don't remember that.

  I liked the SPB duet song(don't know the female singer) from "Engiruntho vandhaan" a great deal which starts like "Mounam enbadhu kavidhai mozhi un kangal paesidum..."

  GR I think that song is nilavae vaa unnai azhaikuthu azhaikuthu vaanam which we discussed in pp too.
  As Trend mentioned, mounam enbathu kavithai mozhi is also a good melodious song.

  Yes. Mani. the same "Nilave Vaa Song". Mounam enpathu song is also good. Good melodies, but didn't suit for the present era.

  I think the song u requested is "Mounam enbadhu kavidhai mozhi un kangal pae", it is by the one & only SPB + SJ, all the songs are nice, but the semi classical "Engiruntho Vanthaan", is the highlight of the films, the songs did not suit the present era, you are right about that Ragavan, the presnt era music is nothing but, Technical sound generated by Computer, there is no life in music (expect "Nandhaa", some composed by Vidhaysagar), singers like hariharan, udit, Unni, Shanker, Srinivas who are all nasal & sing like half dead!!!

  Aziyatha Kolangkal was directed by Balumahendra. Pratap Pothan and Shoba in lead roles. Kamal in guest role. Movies is typical art movie.

  My opinion about the movie was the above. One more simillar movie is Komal Swaminathan's movie(I don't remember the name. Suhasini and Rajeev paired in that movie.). Yes, movie name is "Oru Indiyak Kanavu". There is one melo duet. I don't remember the song and singers. Only remember "Laala la laala" interludes. I think music was by MSV.

  No No, I did not mean it that way, it's just I never heard SPB singing for an Art film b4, that's all.
  
  Oh BTW, do you know who is starring in "Pokkisham", it has an excellent Romantic melody, which goes like "Kanne En azaghu rani radha", by SPB!

  There was song by SPB, I don't know wether it was pre IR / MSV, the song is 'KanNe enN Azhagu raaNi RadHa', the film name is Pokisham.
