Info on a piece from How To Name It ?

  There is a piece on the How To Name It ? CD by IR which is not present on the cassette. The piece is called Don't Compare - a brilliant piece using violin and drums.
  
  I remember vaguely that I heard a similar piece in a film called Thiruppumunai by IR. Is this piece from this movie or is it from any other movie ? If it is from a movie in what context is it used ? This piece is quite long and does not fit the 'approx 5 min' requirements of film songs.
  
  (IMO 'Modern Concerto' from Raja Paarvai should be added to How To Name It? album).

  That particular piece in HTNI isavailable now in the cassettes too. It was included as BGM in a 'trouser' Rajan movie. Not sure which one.

  Mottai does all these things. His movies do have a bit of bgm or song interludes from his HTNI and the like.

  I remember hearing the whole piece or almost the whole piece on the film album.
  
  Also I think somebody mentioned that IR had not credited VSNarasimhan (solo violonist) on his HTNI album. In fact IR has credited all the musicians in both the LP and CD versions. In the cassette version the credits have been left out.
  
  But in Nothing But Wind, no credits have been specified. I have both the cassette and the CD.
  
  Can we list IR's instrumental pieces in films (which don't appear in HTNI or NBW).
  
  These should be stand-alone pieces like songs - BGM does not qualify
  
  I can name two at the moment :
  
  Modern Concerto - Raja Paarvai
  Love Theme - Punnagai Mannan

  you can get HTNI and NBwind from Raag Music of California. Their website add is www.webcom.com/raag. I get all my tamil cds from them only.

  I saw a cassette version of NBW with Chaurasia on the cover and IR listed in the credits!!! Found it at HMV house, Bangalore.
