  1)The interludes one and two in the song 'Kaththum KuyilE' in "KIzhakkum MEtkum" (a new movie) will suggest that the music called Ilayaraaja is incomparable! Dont Compare!
  
  2)The guitar piece in the song 'VayasuppuLLE' from the same movie is godsend! This song another example of myriad possibilities in just one song!
  
  Its unfortunate that we have been comparing till date! Dont Compare!
  
  The Raaja has since started serving the main menu!
  
  Funny to observe people saying 'Raaja is scoring melodies again and he is back!'

  ARR has same formula since Roja to have five different songs in five different styles and he always uses the same style and occasionally following western music(by modifying them).

  Sorry, you have not heard AR'S songs until now ,
  not even Roja. The major break thru for Ar is he does not sound like Raja.Thats the reason he was able to make a mark.
  
  Regarding HOW TO NAME IT AND ANNAKILI --
  JOKE OF 1998...1999....2000
  
  (FYI: All songs in How to name it belongs to bach,
  how to name is jugalbandhi of bachs compostion
  and IR has blended that with south indian music.
  )
  if you ask me which song is bach's - all the songs..execpt the Veedu flute piece.
  Preludium in Emajor is used 100% in How to name it., he mixes this with Mayamalawa gowlai and other related ragas for this score from back.
  I can list all the songs by bach in that album, but this is not the place to that.
  
  Make your points clear...Just dont speak blindly.
  
  Someone has said all AR songs sounds like Roja songs, No way - that is his style...
  he uses few chord combination which sounds simlar this is bring up his style of music.
  
  Even IR's seer kondu va of nan-padum padal sounds just like idhu mounamana neram in Salangai oli..
  I can go on..
  Thats is raja's style...
  I dont want to compare Raja and IR..both have plus and minus points.

  Do you mean to say 'How to Name it' is just like
  some Deva song strongly inluenced by other MD songs. Perhaps thats too harsh a statement. Well, may be being a good musician, you can tell those things easily. I have listened to some pieces of Bach and I feel IR has done a great job in HTNI. Well, perhaps not being so good in music is also good in one sense. You will listen to any song and immediately find 100 similar songs. If I can do that, probably I will lose interest to listen to such songs.

  well both IR and ARR have series western influence.while IR get influenced by western classical artist like BACH,BEETHOVAN AND CHECKOSKY.WHILE ARR get influenced from Dr.alban,deep forest ,enigma,ace of base etc.I think both are of same catogery.
