Twin track sound effect

I happened to read this write up on RDBurman by one of his friends.

Though it doesnt say much about RDB's music ,there are a couple of things that interested me. he mentions the use of the twin track sound effect for a song pretty much ahead of the times. when and by who was this introduced in TFM..can the DFers give some examples.also,there is the mention of not a single electronic note used for 1942 - A love story..i am sure there are many such films in tfm history..can the experts throw some light on this too ?
