you have a nasty complex of thinking music is for the person who has learnt carnautic music "murai padi" and not for the common man.
I think if music does not reach the common man its useless... thats where we differ... and I oppose u specifically because u deem music to belong to these alleged I-know-carnautic-music-people who dont belong to the majority of people wholisten to music...

This is a rather cliched excuse people like you come about with - FYI, I have not learnt Carnatic music. I have little knowledge of ragams - but I know how to say "one raagam is different from the other". So when I ask people that know more on raagams, I will put my question: "Which raagam is this song based on" and NOT "I have been thinking this song was based on X raagam" without knowing the swarams of that raagam. The point I want to make is "stop being a hypocrite". Learn to accept things when you dont know stuff. Ask people if you dunno.
