Somayajulu is no more :-(

Shankarabaranam hero Somayajulu is no more. He passed away yesterday at the age of 76..

  Somayajulu is a very good actor, got famous in Tamil Nadu thru Shankarabharanam. There was a majesticity in his acting. He is an IAS collector (in fact collector for some city in Andhra Pradesh) who quit his job to act in Shankarabharanam.
  
  His other Tamil movies are Sippikkul muthu, Idhu namma aalu, etc. There was another Balu Mahendra movie, with the song Kanavu kanum vazhkai yavum.

  Was Somayajulu the fellow who played Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in the Abhay Charan television serial? If so, then he was a really good actor. God bless his soul.
