Tamil Remix music: How many of you are interested in Tamil Remix music? Whcih albums have you listened to? To you have any favourite Tamil DJs? Or are we not ready for Tamil Remix music? I would like start this new topic focusing on Tamil Remix music. Thanks for the interest!

  Selvan - We have plenty of remixes of Tamil songs, available in Malaysia, especially since ARR came into the picture. There are even remixes of oldies. To me they are all of short-term interest. The rest may differ.

  NOV - Can you point out a few album (remix) names from malaysia? Which lebel(s) are they working with? I just want to check if they are available in Canada.   Sometime back, i think last year, i got an album from a friend of mine called 'Dance Natyam'. Do you remember the music directors of Thotta Sinungi? Same guys have composed and released that album for Magnasound. They remixed old tamil songs with some bits and pieces from western pop songs. i think this is a pretty decent album. It's available in US, canada and India.

  I did buy a copy of "Dance Natyam". Liked the songs but not the recording. I was not able to get a CD, only tapes were available. How about some of the Pyramid releases? - Explosion 1,2 and Dynamite? anyone have any saying on those albums? There are also mixes from local DJs around the world. Is "FREQUENZY" available in Canada? if not how can I get a copy from Malaysia?

  TTT -Two Tamil Twin Deejayz
  
  Dj StaRama and Dj ThunDeR started their first mixing experience in Denmark when they were adolescents.
  After a few years in 1994 they created their first remix, called "Mellisaijey" from the South Indian movie called
  Mr. Romeo. It originated with just a simple 6 channel mixer which was connected to a keyboard (CASIO),
  16-bit/sec sampler, and Denon CD pitchPlayer. The remix itself contained a Tamil movie soundtrack, which
  was mixed with Western dance beats.
  
  In the late 90`s, they came to Canada and started working on an intense project called TwinGrind, which was
  their first album. However it was unreleased because of a lack of funding and support due to their new entry
  into the actual recording industry. By the time they gained support and popularity, the tracks from the album
  became too outdated, and that was the end of the unreleased TwinGrind.
  
  With the end of TwinGrind the twin deejays still carried on with creating their unique remixes, which began to
  have an original style of its own. At this time many other tamil Deejays began making releases of remixes.
  TwinStarZ began working on their next project called IthayaM in 1999, which was released later on October
  15.th 2000. This time, their new album IthayaM became a big success.
  
  Currently they started making their next step of success, a new album called UllasaM. They will continue to
  be the starz, TwinStarZ of the Music
