Why is this stupid comparisons not occuring in Hollywood?

In Hollywood Music Directors are not compared. In what possible way one can compare a musician with the other? Viswanathan-Ramamurthy were great in their own right during their period. MSV is great in his own right during his period. Same goes to Illayaraja, A.R.Rahman, Harris Jayaraj.. etc. People generally accuse he is not good,, he is great.. he is so and so... No body has the facts to support their arguments. I am not going to take part in the comparison thread anymore!! It sounds so stupid!!
