What is KJY's best film song?

  I don't know how to say this, but Sankar-Ganesh made KJY a fun singer and absolutely made the public know of a different KJY: who can forget the song: Yey Unnatthaan adey unnathaan, cheppukodom thukki poren.....
  
  then, kettadhu kidaithathu kodi kannakkil...
  
  quite a number of other songs too.
  
  KJY' most soulful songs in Tamil, especially the lyrics enhance the values of the tunes:
  
  Nalla Manam Vaazhga
  Iraivan Irandu Bomaigal
  Kanchi Pattu Uduththi (is my no.1 Yesudas song in Tamil, once my most hated ordinary song, now i consider filled with purest music.)
  
  a buoyant & unbeatable KJY duet: Kanni Raasi Un Raasi
  
  IR was a composer for PJ , SPB, MV and even TMS, but I thought IR very rarely exploited the full range of KJY' voice, and it goes for Lata Mangeshkar too. i maybe wrong, but songs like Theerthakarayaniley Shenbaga etc... are few. The most a singer was complete in the hands of any composer was PJayachandran with IR, just perfect and deadly combination, in the rustic-romantic period of IR' days.

  Surprisingly, I could not find anybody mentioning the out-of-this-world song from Rajapaarvai, "Azhage, azhagu, devathai...". This song has many things going for it, viz.,
  .
  1.The lyrics were the KannaDasan's magical rendering of the Solomon's Song in the Bible, the Old Testament (The Song of Songs or the Canticle of Canticles. The 7th canto in which the lover describes the physical attributes of his love.). It is one of the most beautiful renderings of the Song in any language.
  
  Note that where the original song says "her breasts are like two fawns , twins of a gazelle" KannaDasan says "oru angam kaikal ariyadhathu"! Only a poet like KD can write a line like that and make it sound incredibly sensual.
  
  2. The song when released was not as popular as the other song "andhi mazhai pozhigirathu.." in the same movie. But after all these years when one listens to 'Azhage..' the true better quality of the song stands out. Azhagu has outlasted Andhimazhai..
  
  3. Only KJJ could have brought his manful but honey-dewed voice, especially at low pitch, to this song to make it immortal.

  Listen to the song today. Don't you agree it qualifies to be one of the best, if not the best, of KJJ?
