  Good to note that u too have got hold of that lovely masterpiece by IR. :-) Hope u haven't missed "Niram Pirithu Paarthen" from the movie TIME. Excellent WCM based song, and good rendition by Sujatha !!!!!
  
  If what GS Anand says is right, then it means Devan has succeeded the release of IVAN. OK, it doesn't matter now. We'll get the Devan cassette first :-).

  BGM 1 & 2 work. Others were working sometime back but not anymore:(

  "NiRam Piriththup Paarththaen" is one of my Fav. from recent IR Albums - Very good song - and one of the Best of Sujatha I would say,
  I was too upset when I saw that the director didn't even use half of the song in the movie :-(

  Devan-A truly pathetic album. Not that I expected IR to be much better in this album, a vijaykanth film seldom deserves better music. But even then IR's indifference in this album is too obvious to the point of being humorous :-) I felt those Mathangi songs were like some sort of mocking of present day tunes and MDs.

  Don't beat me up.
  
  I watched IVAN trailor in some channel.
  It has parthiban, Saundarya and also meena. No glimse of any thing to suggest that this movie will be like Sindhu Bhairavi.
  I believe that Saundarya should be just a carnatic singer. Just that. I think parthiban is a rowdy in that film and the whole trailer was showing only parthiban and his rowdy kind of styles. Now, where is subbudu or others I don't know. And, the BGM that was shown in the trailor was really pathetic.
  
  Now, this is just the Trailor. The film might well turn out to be some thing different. So there is nothing wrong to have hope still.

  In Ivan I feel there would be utmost 2 carnatic songs. read somewhere that it is more mass-oriented. besides the heroine, won't be surprised if 1 of those 16 villains turns out to be a carnatic singer too:-)
