Hoo Anthiya, Oo Hoo Anthiya
---------------------------
The cassette release of Hoo Anthiya, Oo Hoo Anthiya took a star studded dimension last Friday on Webb’s ground when a number of Kannada film stars dropped in to visit and pitched in with some dancing as well. There was Parvathamma Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan, prominent names on the Kannada film scene who graced the occasion, Anu Prabhakar who was taking dancing tips from her mother, Gayathri Prabhakar and Jayanthi. The ever-agile Ramesh was spotted with his wife and their daughter Niharika. But it was the soon-to-be-wed filmstar couple, Malavika and Avinash who stole the show. Everyone had to have a word with them, either to congratulate them or offer some advice. Not surprising since their wedding is as close as February 26. The audio cassette and CD of the film Hoo Anthiya, Oo Hoo Anthiya, directed by K. Praveen Naik has several catchy numbers. And though the function started nearly an hour late, the audience did not have time to get too disgruntled since the show began with two of the songs from the film, choreographed to perfection and shown live on stage. While one song had regular dancers, the other song had Ramesh, Anu Prabhakar and Ruchitha Prasad displaying their skill. There are seven songs in the cassette, but only six have been used in the film. Music director for the film Karthik Raaja enthralled the audience for 10 minutes with a special solo concert. The cast for the film, incidentally, has Ramesh, Isha Koppikar, Ruchita and Anu Prabhakar in significant roles.

Split Wide Open - Music Inspired By The Motion Picture
-------------------------------------------------------
Music Directors - Karthik Raaja, Grahm Russell, Garbage, Indus Creed, Nazam, Silk Route
1. Jaane Na Koi
Music Director : Karthik Raaja Singer(s) : Asha Bhonsle
Lyricist(s) : Bashir Shaikh
The audio tape walks you through the film with six brief dialogues and eight songs. You find references to a TV show, the 'water mafia', domestic violence, drugs, love and sex. Air Supply and Mehnaz open the tape with You are in English and Hindi. In Jane na koi Asha Bhonsle does what you might call a Karnatak-rock number with music by Karthik Raaja. A sax and mandolin play phrases in raga Nattai while Asha, accompanied by heavy drumming, sings of the mysterious persona of the modern girl.

"You Are" by Air Supply and Mehnaz is the stand-out track more because of Air Supply, and not because of Mehnaz! Jaane Na Koi by Asha Bhonsle is jazz fusion number composed by Karthik Raaja, while "Trapped" by Indus Creed finds the band in their rock-set- to-tabla mode. Other than these three numbers, there is really nothing worth even a single listening. In fact, Side B can just be skipped.

Ho Anthiya oho anthiya is fantastic..An acoustic music delight. That chanda E chanda song is done nicely with pizzicato (plucking the violin strings). KR shows a strong liking for rock. Atlast, we have a MD who concentrates on one particular genre. Why doesn't KR do an album like this in tamil ? Or are the tamil producers do not have any taste in music and forcing him to do mundane stuff ? Wow ..KR you've got it dude..now go aggressively get some movie chances :) :) :)
UV2 ..you did good job in providing this info !! Thanks.

it is a nice interviw.
kr talked about his style 'these days u have to be little loud.my father concentrated on tune and lyrics but now its not possible even i have deviated slightly from him' he said.
then he showed actually how song is recorded but without any background commentry could not uderstand a lot.
as usual he criticised and joked how songs r composed these days.he also made fun of long hair and ear rings of present day musicians.'ur music should attract not the hair or rings' he said.
actually the whole shoot was in a recording studio.he was recording for a film called 'aanandha rojakkal'.
unlike his earlier interviews he was more open and jovial.
musicfan,uv2 hope u got a idea of the interview.
