Hi TFM Friends, we have been seeing that 80% of the songs cannot be followed at a single hearing at all. And, most of the time, we cannot follow the lines at all and we are forced to get the lyrics from websites and other sources. In that case, how do the actors/actresses and choreographers, follow the lines and picturise the songs, when they cannot follow the song lyrics. Because, the lip sync has to be perfect, in order to get a good song visually. Do they get the song lyrics at the time of shoot or just try to follow the nuances of the song?
Any idea guys??

saw the 'siva-parvathi-kaalaimaadu' scene from PammalKSambandham? adhula solvaango... u just hv a bubblegum... i'll take care in dubbing...maybe thats the case...
but one of the staggering pieces of lip-sync is "Paadariyen padippariyen"-SindhuBhairavi.... watch Suhasini's eyes filled with tears after synching the carnatic piece b4 continuing "Mari mari ninney"... that shd hv been real 'aanandha kanneer' for having done that perfectly...splendid performance/sync.

... or, for that matter, how do they even speak the dialogues? I mean, most heroines these days are from non-tamil ( not even other dravidian states) states, right? For the lakhs being offered, they'd probably "dubba" adichify the entire piece of paper( be it song or dialogue), and then vomit on screen. understanding aavathu onnaavathu..
But, seriously, how many close-up shots are there for a given song? these days, directors are forced to be more "location" conscious; that means there are more of long shots/group shots ( lead pair + some 200 extras doing acrobatics), than close-ups. Who cares about lip sync?

close-ups? yeah.. when it comes to heroines, the cameras always hang around anything below the neck and downwards... who cares about lip-sync?
dialogues... artistes who dunno tamil, mainly from North India, (Ashish vidyarthi, Atul Kulkarni etc to the heroines),if watched closely, will speak some tamil words.. jump to hindi and english or their native language when emoting at highest level, then return to tamil to help the dubbing artistes. thats the way things go.
