can u believe shankar ganesh scored music for 1053 movies?

  painful music director.. if he says 'pattukottai ammalu' is his best song, we know the classs..o nenje and megame were the sole exceptions in his 5000 odd songs. even the music during the films used to be crass. one can make out that it is a sankar ganesh movie from the time the title music start playing

  in the earlier times, that is in the 70s, SG used to score good music. Example, Kannan Varuvaan, Idhaya Veenai, Naan En Pirandhen, Maanavan, Akka-Thangai, etc. Every one knows, it would be difficult to do music for MGR Films. SG scored two films for MGR - Idhaya Veenai and Naan En Pirandhen - Both have good and hit songs.
  
  In the 80s, SG scored some good music with Vairamuthu. Later, SG became another 'Vedha', copying most of Bappi Lahiri songs.

  How come no body else seems to be aware of the 1053 movies he has scored music for?
  The Thirai Ambalam reporter merely says that he (SG) showed him a list. Please, can you share it with us too?
  
  It's a different matetr that very few of his albums had quality or became hits. Whatever good songs the duo gave were either copied from Ghazals and Hindi film songs... like the 'Meghame Meghame' number from pAlaivana ChOlai or 'Oru pAdal nAn kEtten' from 'Osai'. Even Boney M's 'La La Rasputin Lover of the Russian Queen' became 'NAn thAne oru Puduk kavithai'. Interestingly, all the above numbers were sung by VaNi Jayaram.
  
  He says he has been a Music Director for the last 37 years and composed for 1053 movies. Considering an average of 5 songs per film, he now holds the record for scoring 5265 songs!!!!
  
  From my understanding he was at his prolific best in the late '70s and early 80's and has hardly scored music '90s onwards.. Therefore he should have composed for an average of 40 films a year (from 1964 to 1990)! Wow!! A world record indeed!

  ada yaempa ivan solradha ellam vechi patti manram nadathureenga? even if this claim were true (it is a blatant lie), the calibre of these songs are enough to justify ignoring them forever.
