The songs are really good and great melody..
1. Ezhil Nilave (Pick of the album after MadhuraGaanam).
2. Are Songarae (Nice interludes)
3. Jodi Mankiliyae (Great number)
4. MadhuraGaanam (Best of the year)
5. Oh Deva Deviyae...

All are very good melody. They are given A.R.Rahman's autographed photo free with every CD.
The songs are really great.

  I'm sorry, Reddy. 'Kaathirupen Kaathaliye' was scored by 'IsaiGnani' Ilayaraja. Actually, this film is a dubbing of the 1996 Kannada release 'Gulabhi'.
  
  Tragically, two wonderful songs in the Kannada original, namely 'Kelisade Prema Vedha' and 'Beeso Mungaare', didn't make it in the Tamil dubbed version. :-((

  Ohhh, Now i see why this thread has started! anyone else noticed why? Well answer is simple, Louy, useless IR set up a plan with his imbecile fans to promote his stinking album ( read as alBUM). He knows no one buys his album especially after so many debacles and to top it off a fine messup in virumandi. so he has asked his fan to start a thread in newtfmpage and spread news that this Kathirupaen Kathaliya is ARR's album so every single human being in this world would rush to stores and buy the casette ( this is what happens when anyone hears ARR name associated to a movie, cause it has true quality). But when they play the tape./cd of kathirupaen Kaathaliyae they realize that they were listening to songs produced by a C grade bum, so they check the cover fro the first time and realize there is a sotta manda photo on cover sayin music by mastro Ilayaraja. By this stratergy IR would have sold record no of cassette that he wouldnt have dreamt in his life time. and by virtue of audio sales all fm play this song often and place it at no 1. therby IR would have achevied his lifetime goal of being recognized all over the world. guys remember IR has to do this only by false marketting! How else can a stinking jackass accomplish!

  Even in those two, that "Kaattuppanamaram pola" song's beat went on to become India's big hit song the next year in the form of "Yaaron..sun lozara" song from rangeela.
  
  Hey, True IR fans, if you find time in between your routine of listening to IR's classic, do lend your ears to ARR compositions from the film VCC, pav., Pudhiyamannargal, Udhayaa etc.
  
  But, if you are really interested to explore further, then click on to Hindi. In the past couple f years his best have come in Hindi, in the form of TLOBS, Meenakshi, Tehzeeb.
  
  All the songs and films that I have mentioned here contains songs less with cinema flavour and more with artistic flavour. You will surely like some from that.

  Cd sales in Mexico and spain have picked up of late . Reason Yuva, autha ezhuthu..
  They seem to hv realised that there is a Md( ARR) from India, whos using their tunes( copying) better than thmselves and so they are bringing out new cds.
