SONGS WITH A FOREIGN TOUCH

I actually mean, the songs with foreign tunes like
the spanish folk tunes, scottish, Japanese or
even Thai tunes.
For ex. "chow laare, chow chow lare" from
Ulaasam, has the heavy but pleasing scottish music in between two stanzas.

  Many of the newer MD's are trying this sort of a thing. With the arrival of a lot of mediocre MD's (for that matter directors & story writers) for making fast buck, we do not know if the MD actually lifted the tune out of 'foreign' songs or if they composed using 'foreign' instruments. If we were to take a guess, I would pick the latter since I mentioned that the MDs are just mediocre.
  
  P.S. Here I refrained from making remarks ag. any MDs since it will begin an endless debate of trashing MDs by other MD fans.

  I'm glad to post the first song of this topic. what imeediately comes to my mind is Puttham Pudhu Bhoomi Vendum, Nittham Oru Vaanam vendum. Thanga Mazhai from 'Thiruda, Thiruda' by ARR. Tjis is a Typical Gothic Tune with the Use of Church Instuments and Crystal sounds and Chorus resembling Opera Singers. A nice try and is really pleasing
  What adds more sensation is a really meaningful (after a long time) from Vairamuthu.

  Guys,
  Even that church song from "sapnay" ..
  manikkavum "minsara kanavu" which kajol sings in
  the movie(vay assaipu mattum) . I forgot the
