Regarding today's discussions

I am sorry I had to start a new thread to bring attention to a curious problem I have.
I remember that 5 hours back I had read a lot of posts in various threads like "IR's new albums" etc. posted today. Suddenly, however, most of the threads seem to have been stripped off all today's posts. Was there any server-crash or what?

  Raj; good topic. I started a highly emotional topic yesterday and all of a sudden it is gone. I am thankful to Ravi or the server for deleting that, anwyways. But, if others have similar threads that have been deleted that is a real pity.

  Raj/Udhaya: AFAIK there has been a disk crash at our host machine and all files were lost and have been restored from a backup a few hours old. All the backups which we kept on the same disk were also lost and hence there is no way of reconstructing the lost data. :(.

  SitaRam: I can only say that the life of TFM personalities outside of TFM is not a suitable topic of discussion. We can stretch acceptability to discussion of their interviews, but... :-).

  Official news update from our hosting company:
  
  We'll be performing upgrades on Neptune over the next few days, including a new harddisk, adding a new cpu, more ram and a new motherboard. There would be minor intermittent downtimes. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
  24 Feb 99 (0100 SGT / 1200 EST) - We have completed the upgrade of Neptune
  
  Same reason why newtfmpage.com was inaccessible intermittently. Should be fine from now on.

  So, I guessed right-server crash. Well, atleast, I didnt have any of my lengthy posts yesterday, thank God!
  I guess it is the "Lets get together.." thread which suffered a lot...a couple of good suggestions by nithin/udhaya/others vamooshed!And ofcourse, my requests to Rex for uploads in his page..i dont remember them,now:(
