Singers That Sound Alike

There r few which i would like to share with u guys,they r (plss discuss on them ,which is better)

1.SPB - Mano
2.Sadhana Sargam - Sujatha Trivedi/Bhattacharya (Tehzeeb) - Unnoticeable,Listen to Sabak Aisa
2.Reena (Baba) - Mahathi (Saamy)
3.Jesudas - UnniMenon - Jayachandran
4.P.Susila - Sandya (Since Sandya is P.Susila's Niece)
5.Clinton - A.R.Rahman
6.Mahalaxmi Iyer - Chitra Sivaraman (Alle Alle,Nethukitten)
7.Sadhana Sargam - Kavitha Poudwal (Ratchagan)

  SPB-Mano - thats just bcos of Mano trying to imitate SPB. But there is nt much similarity otherwise.
  
  the second one is very true. SB sounds very much like SS.

  4. Almost all Malayali singer post-Jesudas era, sound or try to sound like KJY.
  
  5. Very true. (is Sandya related to PS by anyway ?)
  
  6. Clinton - ARR. again this could be bcos there were many instances that Clinton and ARR sing together in chorus for his songs and that makes it to think that they sound similar. Infact, it is hard to recognise their individual voices.
  
  7. MI - CS : really ? CS has more shrill in her voice which is immdtlyu recognisable. check out her songs "Vidinchaa thaan kalyanam" from some YSR movie and "Ale Ale..." from Boys. they sound very CS-ish.
  
  8. kavitha paudwal aa? yow, song e maranthu pochu. voice yelaam yengeyaa nyabgam irukkuthu. again, just 1 song.

  Okay, here'z my list :
  
  Jency's way of style reminds me of Susheela's style (I mean the later 70's and early 80's). Listen to the song "Paniyum neeye, malarum naane paruva raagam paduvom".
  
  Sujatha's style was like that of Chithra is many of her earlier (post re-entry) songs.
  
  Sindhu (who sang "Mutham thara aetha idam") used to imitate Chithra not just in the style but way of talking, smile and even the gestures!!
  
  Harini, from the recent past (songs like "Pallaanguzhiyin vattam paarthen"), tries to sing like Chithra.
  Madhu Balakrishnan reminds me very much of KJY's voice.
  
  There was singer who sang "Mehamaai Vanthu pohiren" in Tullatha manamum thullum. His sound is just like SPB. For long I thought this song was rendered by SPB.
  
  Swarnalatha's voice/rendition at times, used to remind me of Jikki.

  Janaki and B.Vasantha had very similar voices in their songs of the 60s, i.e., when they were still very young. Atleast I still confuse some of Vasantha's old songs to be Janaki's.

  I don't have any of my tapes now and I don't remember the details either, but I was talking about some old telugu songs that I heard long ago and not tamil ones, sorry. When I get a hold of those tapes I shall post any details I might have. Maybe I can even search for possible links on the web, if there are any.

  Mano and SPB !!!! Please don't disrespect SPB like this. Very sad. Mano's voice is bad and horrible. I don't know why IR promoted Mano. There is only one SPB, his voice is divine! Express emotions extremely well!God bless SPB!

  TMS was known as kutti-MKT when he started singing. His first song was intentionally sung to imitate MKT.
  
  Malaysia Vasudevan has sung like TMS, and even like CSJ in one song.
