SPB - S. Janaki !

I read in some site that YSR has composed a song with SPB - S. Janaki Combo for movie Nandha,

This wonderful pair is coming back (SPB is there, SJ is there, I am talking about their combination) to TFM after a loooooooooong gap, Isn't it ? Last SPB - SJ song I could remember is VidyaSagar's Classic 'Malaree Maunama' from 'Karna'.,

Shall we discuss songs of SPB - SJ in this Thread ?

  NagaS: there were a few other SPB-SJ duets after 'malare mounama'. The latest I could recollect is 'chee poyya' (Iraniyan).

  May be there were some other SPB - SJ songs, But I guess none of them were so popular ;-) There was an IR song also, 'Vaanam vaazhththida' from Sangam (Dubbed from Malayalam),
  
  Anyway, I hope YSR does some justice to these two :-)

  if that's the case then it's from 'chinna maapiLLE', it's indeed a great song.
  
  btw, those two are okey song, not a junk. Devas was the MD, that's why it wasn't so popular. Deva usually mix it with western beats, but that was missing in these song, so not popular :)

  A recent duet by SPB-SJ is 'sekka chekka sevantha poNNu' in vallarasu. 'Tuned' by Deva. No credits for anyone spotting the original, though.
  
  IR has been ignoring/neglecting SJ for a long time. I think her last song for him was in dhEvadhai.

  I am sure 'Vaanam vaazhththida' is from Sangam, I have the audio cassette with me :-)
  
  'Chinna mapLe' had only five songs - Kaathoram Loolaakku, Kaattuk kuyil, VeNNilavu, Ada maama and One more SPB - Uma RamaNan number.
  
  Doubter,
  SJ's recent song for IR is from Anthap puRam (Telugu Version),
  
  She sang 'Padikkattumaa Padikkattumaa' for some Kasthuri Raja Movie, I guess that is her recent IR song in tamil.
  
  She sang one song in the movie 'puNNiyavathi' also, I don't remember the song now.

  But I have seen the movie, 'Chinna mapLe' - there is no such song in the movie :-)
  
  Probably they just added the song as a filler in your CD ? ;-)

  YSR gave 'vaa vaa poovee vaa' to SJ, BharaNi has given one excellent song to her in 'Paarvai onDRe pothume', ARR gave two good SJ songs (Kaathal kaditham neettavee and Maarkazhith thingaL) last year.,

  'Adadaa Idudhan Sugamo' can any body tell me which movie is this? The song is very pretty, one of Rajani and Radha movie I guess. SJ has sung two songs in Mayee, one song duet with Rajesh krishnan and another one solo(its a pathos).
