New Tamil Singers in Hindi: Mahalakshmi Iyer & Gayatri Iyer

Mahalakshmi has done a few songs in Tamil. How about Gayatri?
Gayatri is doing some real good job in Hindi these days. She's got an amazing voice, great range and has rendered some real tough numbers with ease. Listen to her songs in 'Sandhya' and 'Bhoot'.

Will some TFM MD import this talent? She may be a welcome alternative to Sadhana Sargam. (assuming her Tamizh diction is good)

What do you think of Mahalakshmi's numbers in Tamil so far?

  Mahalaxmi Iyer is a very good singer. I have heard her once live in concert and she has a very sweet and fine-tuned voice. BTW, she is not pure Tamilian, AFAIK, she is half Maharashtrian. Her Hindi and Marathi diction is also nearly seamless.

  Mahalaxmi is not maharashtrian at all. She is fully tamil.
