Very disappointed to say,songs in majnu are boring,nothing new or innovative,mudar kanavae has been lifted from the not so forgotten "kannukkul nooru nilava idhu enna kanava" from vedam pudidu-hamsalekha.gulmohar was so hyped that it just fizzed out to be from pachai niramae which itself was a lift of tarzan boy.BONZAI is from chandiranai thottadu yaar -ratchagan ,which was lifted from sunita rao's pari hun main,well all of you will have to agree with these facts,my conclusion is all these guys,arr ,hj and co,do not compose in front of the directors,they just get inspired at nights as they say and give the tune to singers and wait for them to make modulations as all the singers have said in thier interviews,but there are composers who stick to their compositions and are very particular about it,harini has disclosed about this in jaya tv in an interview to abdul hameed,you know who iam mentioning about,all these guys are saleable no doubt,but 45 rupees of us is wasted.we are fools to buy inspired music ,it is sick and is worsening,is there so much of paucity in ideas to these guys who have a chance to prove,DISAPPOINTING !...

If you are saying that "Chandiranai" is a lift of sunita rao's pari hun main then you are totally wrong. Infact I have listened to both and the pari hum main, song I remember it so well, because, that was the cassette that we played first in our new 2in1 (early 90'). I think you are probably confused with the instruments used. Yes, they are more or less same. The BG instrument used in both songs are same, and in "Chandiranai" song the beat is bit slow and its timing is very different from what it is in pari hoon mai. Just hear both again with out any bias. I too had this doubt when I heard the latter. But, since I had both the cassettes around, I could clarify. If you have both , just try.
Okay...by any standards , ARR need not...and will not go to a sunita rao for inspiration of (up) lift.

but is'nt possible that both of them got inspired
by any same english album.....atleast u have to

Again, the similarity what he is talking about is just based on instrument. The tune and the basic beat are entirely differently. So, there is no clue of any english song involved in it. Also, we cannot assume things and approach it negatively.
Baring 1 or 2 songs , ratchagan had wonderful songs. A song of srinivas and other of jesudas are one if ARR's best melodies.

agreed,but even if it is similar instrumentation-WHY ?,that indicates paucity and imho-arr has started with artistes like shubha,why not he get inspired from sunita rao-a hit song is to be inspired by him-arr is from chennai and not from any other planet,he has committed his share of mistakes -blaming on blatancy on samplers etc right from his 3rd film-kadhalan where he copied dr.albans track for the concluding piece of muqbla song-i feel now he may start to complain on the producer /directors-paucity in orchestration and ideas are evident in arr and all have to admit to it humbly-need not all of us succumb to media hype-there is a difference in enjoying music and supporting music,we can enjoy all recycled music but when we appreciate it,we are allegedly faltering upon the original creator/composer,this indicates our deteriorating taste-no point in saying only 7 swaras/or same ragas a copy is a copy is a copy-u know who is the king of copies and his stablemetes are no different.
