Hi Vijay
Writing a review means being fair and criticizing and praising appropriately.
IR has had a lot of influence on my musical journey that I am likely to be biased at certain instances, which I want to avoid as a reviewer.
Moreover, I hope my reviews not only reach the public but also reach the artist (sometimes in a roundabout way), and the artist uses my criticisms constructively. Also it is public knowledge that Raja is not open to suggestions,(which is good for originality but has some drawbacks as well) and this discourages me.

Shashi,
The only way you can make IR listen is to be competitive with him. I am sure the success of ARR is good thing to happen to IR. This will likely to spur him to reach more heights not necessarily in tuning songs but also in other forms of music.
BTW, that was a very detailed review. Informative and educative. Thanks a lot. I still urge you to review IRs songs, whether old or new. This will help us music novices to understant IR better.
(Earlier, I had posted about ARRs 'thangath thAmarai magaLE' sounding like some Khaled song. I confirm that this is track #7 in Nssi Nssi album. Also).

Shashi,
Just out of curiosity.. do u have any clues or info on whether your past reviews have reached as far as ARR himself. Do u believe that ARR does read reviews here? If so, it would be really interesting to know that, since people have been tearing him apart here.

Hi vijay
Clues--None whatsoever.
But, hope--yes!
I think ARR is very interested in feedback (just as anybody who is still growing in the field). Also, he is quite computer literate which increases the chances of him or his close associates browsing some of these threads.
Geetha who has met him in England and used to write here regularly can help with this question even further.

ARR is also smart enough to know that the opinion of internet literate audience varies inversely with the cassette/CD sales (especially to the masses):-)

Hi,
I am looking for the lyrics to A.R. Rahman's song "Rooth agaye re" from 1947 Earth. Does anyone know where I can obtain this? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Sometime back it was said that kannukonden^2 is set to be released for Pongal. Is it still the case?
The bottomline is when is ARR's next release?

Is it true that "Kurukku Chiruthavalae..." song is only a variation of "Suthi Suthi Vandheegha..." from Padyappa.

I listened to the songs of ARR's latest Hindi release, Pukar. Some of the numbers are brilliant! There's a solo by Sujata, very well rendered. There's another number, Que Sera Sera that's a repeat of a Tamil song of ARR's. I can't recollect...
The song, Sunta Hai Mera Khuda, by Kavita and Udit Narayan with vocal support from Swarnalata is a soft and melodious number. But, I found the Pallavi to be a take-off on the Golden Oldie, "Kallellaam Maanikka Kallaguma"!
Anyway, a neat album and a good buy!
