who is best spb or kjj

  Had KJY sung Shankaraparanam songs, it would NOT have been such a mega hit, can u imagine KJY singing, ' Shankara ' with the great bass of SPB & the great emotion, he shows in this song???, NO WAY!!!!!!!
  
  I can truly imagine KJY singing Sankara...and I really wished if he had sung the Sankarabharanam songs!. Please listen to OTTAKAMBI NADAM (Malayalam) from film ThenumVayambum before discussing the BASS issue!. I agree that SPB emotes well, but sometimes I have felt that it overflows, destabilizing the Balance of the song.(again it depends on the amount of emotion, the audience need).
  
  "Kalaivaniye" in Sindhubhariravi is far more sweet and high pitched (in the word Varuvaar..) than Sankara.. Sindhubhairavi is really worth the national award.

  With due respect to SPB, I say that Satham Illatha is a very high pitched song and I really love SPB for that."Tere Mere" is more complex than previous, but doesn't reach very high pitches.

  KJY is the only singer who doesn't sound nasal in all the octaves. (The rating should be upto 1995).
  
  It should be realized that KJY excells in classical music apart from film music for years, and no Indian singer can be par with that. Lack of claasical training can't be put forward as the reason, as SPB has been singing for 30 yrs, and he could have taken up if he wished.
  
  Nowhere in the site,KJY's malayalam film songs is mentioned (may be because its a TFM thread). Best and Popular singer are two different concepts. Popular songs are not best songs many times and goes on audience appreciation. I can put SPB on top in "POPULAR" category in Tamil films(also in South India except Malayalam, SPB doesn't have a single MALAYALAM hit!). But the best singer..no way to be any other than KJY!
  
  I feel that Tamil audience will never accept KJY over SPB beacuse they are used to his voice. Hence, arguments do not matter much. KJY, SPB and RAFI are great indian singers..!

  we NEVER put forwarded this reason, besides, SPB does not need classical training to sing classical songs, according to KJY :)), plus, FYI, SPB is multi talented, unlike KJY, example SPB, is an actor, Music Composer, Dubbing artists, Film director, Producer, ..u name it, while KJY only sings & composes, please correct me, if I am wrong :)

  This is KJY at his high pitched nasal voice!, it is horrible, when he hits the extreme high note at the end of this song!!
