IR's new albums!

  IR is a genius but he has poor P.R skills. He broke with BR, VM and MR. He also had some misunderstandings with his own brother GA for sometime. He reached a saturation point around the beginning of 90s. He has nothing more to prove. Every country must be having their own illayaraja. France, Italy have so many wonderful composers. But not many people know about them.
  We are privileged to be born in TN as we had to opportunity to enjoy IR's full range of talents.

  watched the worst movie "DEVAN". my opinion on this movie.
  1. Music (particularly BGM) was very ordinary.
  2. Only 2 songs are played in the movie - in the end IR sings a OK song - none of the songs makes an impression.
  3. In today's movies, I dont know why they put a name under the title "Story(Kadhai)".
  We have been thinking the same way since 50s - I guess - this movie has sister sentiment and also a standard (rather irritiating with his action) villain. Finally Vivek's comedy is pathetic and very very irksome.
  
  Arun Pandian clearly shows that he is a rookie when it comes to both direction and action - The movie is a crap both in its story as well as in its music.

  Ilayaraaja : I have not been recognised by this Government to which I pay my tax happily. The national awards don't mean much. It made no difference to me. The only recognition I have is that South Indians throughout the world listen to my music. But this doesn't help me even buy a train ticket on the emergency quota ! I don't have any good quality instruments to record my music. I cannot even get the basic requirements to function as a musician. This is the recognition I get in my own country.

  music lover, that is old news, what is happenin to you, man? can u cool it? u don't have to be proud to be an indian. being indian is a matter of humility ;--) at least, be proud we are not going for wars and destroying peace everywhere. as kamalhaasan the wheel rotates because so many cogs making that happen.
  
  raaja is outspoken, all geniuses are brave and outspoken. because of that, rahman is reaping benefits he can 'import' anything he likes.
  
  at raaja' time it was very difficult to get import licenses for advanced musical instruments.
  
  another downside is, our engineers are not known for innovating instruments mainly because there was no enterpreneurial and research programs in the country.
