Will picturisation of songs makes them more appreciable???

I feel that the picturisation of the songs have an impact on the song's appreciability and impact. Let me take an example:
I started liking "Indian"'s songs more only after seeing the songs. They are picturised beautifully.
Vennilave song in Minsara Kanavu has been picturised very well and the impact of the song is augmented manyfold after you see the song. In this case, I liked the song the first time I listened to it (and before seeing it!). I am speaking of it's impact here.
On the other side, Kannodu song would have been great if it had been picturised well. Shankar shouldn't have made a comedy out of this song. Had it been taken in a sentimental backdrop, it would have made wonders.
What do you guys feel about this!!

If indian song clips wish to find a place in international, they should start producing more
creative and modern video clips such as konjam nilavu(thiruda thiruda), thee thee(thiruda thiruda), narumugaiye(iruvar), mukala mukabla(kaadhalan) and of course poovukkul olindhurukkum(jeans)

DRaj:
I wish to differ from your opiniion. I can understand that the new Directors are trying to bring in the latest in technology into their movies, but IMHO, indian Directors should also try and bring out the 'inthiya kalaachaaram' that we are so famous for.
Also, I have great respect for BR, who does the best as far as bringing out the feelings from his artistes in any part of the movie, whether it is the regular dialogue delivery or the song picturizations.
As some others have pointed out Balu Mahendra and KB are also par excellence. KB, off late, has been doing some great work with his TV serials. Kaadhal Pagadai and Kaiyalavu Manasu were just superb. I feel so bad that I did not bring a copy of these videos with me to the US, and I cannot find any body here in Chicago who has the complete set of these serials(I am new to Chicago and the US, and if some one knows where I can find these videos, please let me know)
Some of the oldies have surely been picturized beautifully. Songs like 'adi Aathaadi...' are great works of direction.

What about the song "thenmerukku paruvakaatril..." from Karuthama. Pardon me if I misspelled the words (I don't know Tamil :-))Is it by BR? I have seen the song only once when I was in Madras. I liked that song. This is another example for the subject of this discussion. Also, I have this song in Telugu, but I like the Tamil version. Great singing by UK (even in Telugu, he sang the song.) But in Tamil, the words fit appropriately (the sound aspect of the words -- each line ends with a nassal word and UK sounded superb)

Yes that Movie was a great piece of Direction by BR. Infact, all the songs in 'Karuthamma' were pictureizes beautifully.
