  Finally Alli Arjuna released.Rehman had done victorious job in this movie.Excellant fresh tune.."Shinga Linga" by Chitra.Good attempt in reggae style.Its a granted word that "He will be in the NO.1 spot forever in musical world".

  I am not a fan of ARR, but i like to hear some good music, and he has given beautiful songs, we have to admit it!
  
  When guys started to say that he was as good as IR and that he is giving better music nowadays,i didn't agree. Today, compared to an album like kaasi ... alli arjuna really sucks !!

  Siva thanks for trying to open our "open eyes" so far. From now on, I wish u too wud open ur closed eyes. I wonder why some people talk crap if they cant understand something. Just becos ur IR fans doesnt make u an authority on music. Being IR fans doesnt mean they have a superior taste in music, and that they have to look down upon others efforts. Make some music like IR and then say such statements, I might accept what u say. May be my posting looks "emotional" but some guys are taking it too far by making silly statements.

  I think ARR is a really great composer (yes I am a fan of his), judging from past releases-
  Paarthale Paravasam is undoubtedly a fantastic album - what with songs like Manmatha Masam and Azage Sugama..
  However Alli Arjuna is a bit off standard - Shinga Linga is a waste
  Note that Star (which also had 4 recycled songs), was a lot more delightful to listen to, and the new song (Nenthukitten) was fantastic.

  TAMILAN, YUVAN SHANKAR IS THE GREAT IR'S SON.HE IS THE ONLY MD ASIDE FROM ARR TO GIVE US WESTERNS MUSIC.HJ GIVES ARR MUSIC AND THAT IS NOT ORIGINAL.YSR IS SURELY NUMBER 1 SINCE ARR IS DECLINING.

  ARR's songs get dubbed from Hindi to Tamil or the other way around cos the originals are good. I dont buy the dubbed versions but hey how many music directors hv songs that r worth dubbing into other languages?!

  It appears some of u lot might want to maitain a feudal structure to your lives & interests. First, IR, then YSR or whoever.
  
  Come on people, i was a big fan of IR in his time which was about 10 yrs back. IR stopped happening man, so go n get yourselves a life.
  
  Thank god ARR came along otherwise Tamil music in the last 10 years would hv been relegated to irrelevant mediocrity.

  why can't this ARR guy give us some new stuff.
  I heard this Alli Arjuna. It's worthless.
  Presently, I am thinking Deva & SAR are far better
  than this ARR ( we are vasting lot of money for buying same old stuff)

  I know many of ARR's fans are eagerly waiting for the day when Bombay dreams comes out in london-agreed ALW is a big name.These are my thoughts on this-
  I live in UK-these musicals are very expensive to go to.esp the ones by ALW as he is a big name .I have met very few of the locals who have been to them.Now how many would like to attend something about some Indian theme?
  They all happen in london-hence it is mainly tergeted at the tourists and the londoners-I can very few travelling from say, birmingham or glasgow just for sake of attending them.Public transport is ridiculously expensive in this country-even myself living in brighton, about one and a half hours from london am not enthusiastic about thinking of going to london-the ticket will be probably 15 pounds for the cheapest class-petrol up and down 20 pound and parking, my god, is so expennsive...
  probably asians will give the initial draw-but I cannot really imagine something on an asian theme to have repeat audience esp from the white people on whom these things thrive-I cannot imagine asians dishing out equivalent of 50 dollars more than once-esp if you consider going as a group like they go for movies. The local chaps will probably view this with an amused tolerance.But repeat audience?
  So we have a situation here where the locals will not probably form repeat audience and the asians will not , again, form a repeat audience because of financial considerations.
  It will be interesting to see what happens...

  and so i am entitled to give an opinion in this forum
  ARR DOES IT AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNN
  AND BOY HE IS SURE GETTING GOOD AT THISSS..
  ARR ..if u ever happen to read this pulease be mature enuf to understand that south indian people have a better taste to appreciate music compared to north india...(its another arguement altogether ..u r welcome to argue this point).
  
  
  Recyling sogs will never get you anywhere ARR.. and directores pulease dont force ARR to do this kind of stuff justto publicise the movies ..becos ARR doesnt have the self -esteem to make his own decisions... he will not stand by his thought process that the audieance having waited for months to hear from him have finally got to hear STAR AND ALI ARJUNA ..and there was PP barring a couple of songs.. being a fan i dont use expletives becos it might hurt the sentiments of the people who went gaga over it... when i sure agree "manmatha masam and NAdirdina " were good efforts... the other songs didnt have the touch of Rehman... and all this coming at a time other young music directors..are going strong with all guns blazing.. YSR .KR. VS..and even Bharadwaj ..
  and charan .. did u wait and delay ur film all becos these songs were difficult to get from ARR?? ..hmm the couple called SABESH -MURALI would have done these crap and much better than it ( they were actually decent in Samudram" )..the film's delay will never be justified for these songs..and TOP TEN makers ..u have little job to do this time... i'll happy even if it manages to reach them ...
  it will eventually managae to reach the top 10 MAYBE BECOS OF BARATHIRAJA'S STRONG PRO'S IN THE INDUSTRY .. and boy when will he come to know that manoj isnt a hero's material !!!
  and referring to one posting by MR.sandeep .. who said how many directors can boast of the songs being remade..what kinda crap was that...these are not even among the okie songs of ARR.. and u would defintley get the answer sandeep ...when the audience reject these songs... and eventually the music rights distributers... hereafter never getting excited about an ARR album...
  and VS should deserve the best MD of the year .thought YSR comes a close second.. he has shown more variety..this year..
  and please RAHMAN .. decide what you want to do .. its you and not the directors who are gonna have the final say... u take all the time u want..but finally dont give an end product liek this...

  MADAM JANAKI .. YOU HAVE BOWLED EVERY SOUL IN THE TFM WITH UR SOUL STIRRING MELODIES... WE ADORE AND BESTOW U THE COMPLIMENTS...BUT U SHOULD DEFINITELY CONSIDER UR SELF QUITTING.SINGING...THE VOICE WAS AWFULLY BAD...U HAVE ACHIEVED THE FAME U WANTED ...LETS STOP WITH THAT..DONT LET US ERASE THAT FROM OUR MEMORY

  if directors like praveen gandhi keep pestering that rehman give his old hindi songs, why shud one blame rehman for that? after all it is business for him without any new effort...it is the directors like praveen gandhi & saran who are to be blamed for this, and not rehman....IMHO...[anyway, rehman might just be eyeing at some distant global recognition now. So he will soon ditch north indian audience too, like he has ditched south india...rehman, i guess, has come to the conclusion that TF world starts with maniratnam/shankar and ends with maniratnam/shankar...rest of the crop will naturally only get recycled tunes...]

  Had a chance to hear a song from "kannaththil muththamittaal". It's soooo wonderful with ARR's unique touch. Eagerly waiting for the cassette release.
