  On the production front, Tips is all set to begin the shooting of SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH, which has Ajay Devgan playing the title role. Recently, A.R. Rahman recorded the first song of the film, which, according to producer Kumar Taurani, has to be heard to be believed. "It is a unique song which, besides giving the periodic feel, has a fresh feel about it," Taurani disclosed.
  
  Tips is planning to start the shooting of the film in January and shoot it at a stretch, for which Ajay Devgan has given confirmed dates. The fact that another film is being made by Sunny Deol's banner, Vijeta Films, on the same subject (with Bobby Deol essaying the title role) does not disturb Taurani. "I can only talk about our film and say that we have thoroughly planned its shooting in detail," he says.
  
  Knowing Rajkumar Santoshi's fascination for the subject (he has been wanting to make it since a long time), the film will be something to watch out for.

  i feel only maniratnam, shankar and rajiv menon can get good numbers from ARR...coz they only have something different in mind...others dont know how to use ARR...i would suggest ARR not to work with directors like praveen gandhi (Rakshagan and Jodi) etc...

  I don't know why AR Rahman has to agree to do Music in the first place. If he wants to be selective in who gets best score, then he should be selective in accepting too. Also, if he feels that he is being restricted in his creativity by the movie directors, then he should be doing more of albums and then let the movie directors pick what they want from the album, then pay him his royalty.

  saw 'thodarum' recently and shocked.
  raaja has lifted a rahman tune from rangeela.
  the song 'tappankuthu pattu' from 'thodarum' is a straight lift from 'rangeela re' of rangeela.
  i think raaja tried to follow rahman but could not succeed.

  ARR has lifted a raaja tune from kattumaarakkaran.
  the song saiyan'from is a straight lift from padagottum pattamma of KMK.
  i think ARR tried to follow raja but could not succeed

  Azhage is a bad 'sounding' album. But i enjoyed staring at the cd jewel case insert layout. So i guess at least it is a good 'looking' album.
