According to the latest issue of Ananda Vikatan, Vikatan Theatre reports that ARR
will have 5 reelases this Diwali - Taj MAhal, Alai paayuthe, Kandukonden
Kandukonden, Mudhalvan, and Rhythm. And if ARR says OK, the music of taj mahal
will release next week

Thakshak - is quite disappointing. Boondon ki baataen is the ONLY pick from this album, which is strange for an ARR product. Rang De starts off like 'Vetri kodi kattu' song. Jaan meri and toofan ki raat - both are TRASHES, IMHO. Sukhwinder singh monotonously sings 'Dholna' and Alisha is nothing great in 'Jumbalika'. Khamosh raat is another song which is adequate but nothing great, again.

I am SURPRISED, especially after listening to a great product 1947 Earth.

the director of Ramakrishna is not Shankar. Its Vikraman.
Read this news.
RAMAKRISHNA
The Superstar's next movie is called Ramakrishna. With him Simran and
Meena (not sure) will also be starring. The Director of this movie is
Vikraman (Suriya Vamsam). The music will be by the famous A.R. Rahman
himself. In this movie, Rajni is acting as a School Bus driver. Simran
will be acting as a teacher. All through the movie Rajni will be giving his
wisdom to the young children through his words and style. In the climax of
the movie Rajni will be telling everyone why he became a school bus driver.
As in every movie he has a catching phrase. In this movie his catching
phrase will be:

Thirundu vankai enthu ninaichain,
Thirunda mathankal polai irrukku,
Theepu eluthi vithai venthiyathu tahn.

Does the song "Pachai Kiligal" from Indian sound similar to "Chutthi Chutthi" from Padayappa?.

Also, is the tune after the interludes in "Chutthi Chutthi" from Padyappa the same as the tune after the interlude in the kolattam song in "Kadhalar Dinam"?...(and does the start of the starting song in kolattam song in Kadhar Dinam sound similar to "Dilubar Jane" song from Kalaignan?)

Yes, I agree with U. Chuhtti-chuhtti song in Padayappa is a remake of the Pachaikiligal song in Indian. The interlude in Thaandiyaar song in Khadalar Thinam is an extended version of the interlude of the Chutti*2 song. The last 2 lines in the RojaRoja takes the image of the 'chippiyirukkudhu muthumurikudhu" song from "Varumaiyin Niram Sivappu". In fact, the melody were a repeated echo of the 'anbe thunai, arive thunai, paasaaamm thunai' song ( sorry, I'm not so sure about the movie ).

All in all ARR is giving / releasing remakes and remix without making any mistakes that DEVA is making. ARR puts the melodies in such a way that listeners won't realize that remixes on the spot. Listeners begin to realize the similarities some other days when they replay old songs. This is a fact and it is happening. I am not condemning ARR. Of course to do that (remix), he should possess an ability too. ARR is not weak in the sense that he only remixes his own tunes. Not like DE.. who keep importing others music rights. Keep up ARR in the challenging world of Tamil music.

I called pyramid audio in Singapore. They said Rhythm has not been released and that it will take some time. They also said that they do not have any ARR movie for release (i.e. CD) in the immediate future.
